OT: OFFICIAL - Make Fun of the Mets/Yanks Thread - 2018 Season

I did read what you said. Your are ingnoring the fact that the Yankees are playing tonight only because another team in their division won 108 games. The Mets finished 2nd to last and are playing golf. There is zero comparison. 0.
The Mets coverage in NY was dominated how bad they were, not any success. The only excitement was bringing back a guy who can't play anymore
Actually, you didn’t read. Never did I say Yankees didn’t have a better season. I was making a joke referring to their very similar records after the All Star break.
Btw- congrats on the win last night, I can’t wait for this series. Please go crush the Bosox!!!

I think the MLB offices in NY and TBS are more thrilled than Yankee fans that the Yankees won last night.
Looking forward to it as well. Winning the Wild Card is more a relief than a celebration. Beating Boston would be party time.

Watched from the comfort of my living room, but it would have been Priceless to be at a bar,or Stadium{which emptied quicker than a Rutgers home game} and see the arrogate, smug looks wiped from Yankee fan faces.:bomb::boom::fire:

If you think the Yankee fans are/were arrogant or smug at any time before or during this series with the Red Sox you really have no clue.

Oh please, talk about fake news, Yankee fans are always arrogant and smug, but left the stadium early last night, with tails between their legs.

Not for nothing- but going back to 2015, I believe the Met's have won two playoff series and up until now, the Yankees have only won one series. They need to come back against the Redsox in order to equal the success of the post 2015 Met's...:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

1st player to hit for the cycle in playoff history. 1st Starting pitcher to not know what time a playoff game started.1st pitching coach not to know when to get said pitcher ready for playoff . 1st Manager not to know what his pitching coach is doing in a playoff game.1st playoff game in Yankee Stadium to have less fans than a Rutgers home game in the 3rd Qt.

Listened to Francessa today talking to Eddie Coleman, and he guaranteed the Yankees will be in Boston for a Game 5. Went to Monmouth Park and placed a wager on Boston, lol.

Has anybody seen or heard from Proud NJ Sports Fan/ YankeeAl??? I fear for his health,he usually has so much to say. I'm sure when he's done with the hookers and finishes his last bottle of Bud Light, he'll come on here explaining what happened and taking plenty of shots at the Mets as if that will get the Yankees to Game 5.:flush: While we're at it, can someone put out an APB for T2KPlus10? I kinda feel they forfeit the right to come on here and talk smack when they go"no show" unless the Yankees win and they can bust chops. Can somebody say Front Runners?

Why don't you just use FanDuel Sportsbook? And for the record since my sports Jinx is so strong over the past couple years, I bet the Yankees and games won three and four. I forgot to bet game two, of course. I even put a live bet down on the Yankees when they were about to start rallying which gave me great odds, to really slam the door on their season. You are welcome, Yankee fans.

Still? They both must be in the Panhandle, what else could possible explain it?

Go ask Kbee, he seems to know. Better yet, MAYBE that's where Pround NJ Sports Fan/YankeeAl and T2KPlusinHiding are, yea, that's the ticket!!!
Mets fans are so funny.
You're like the guy that finished the race in 26th place trying to bust on the guy that finished way ahead of him. Third best record I think.
BTW, wanna bet on which of the two NY teams is aggressive in the free agent market ?
And who has the #1 or #2 rated minor league system ?

We all know who will be more aggressive as they will pour more and more money into this team. They will also use that minor league system in trades, the same system that couldn't get them what they so disparately needed, pitching. I'm guessing how farm systems are rated don't always equate to Major League ready talent that teams covet.I would bet a team that doesn't have 4A talent across the board might have 1 or 2 kids that teams would covet back in a trade. Clearly the Yankees didn't or they could have had deGrom or Bumgartner or some other top of the rotation pitcher which the Yankees clearly lacked! When the Cubs knew all they needed was a closer, they had players the Yankees wanted to get it done. If this great farm system you always talked about had that, maybe the Yankees would still be playing.
