ESPN broadcasting = already ahead of LIV.

ETA I watched it. It was entertaining. Smart that it’s on a week night and not competing with major sporting events.

I was more impressed by the tech than the golf. The simulator couldn’t save Ricky’s game.

I read some felt they didn't use the tech enough. My first thought was around whether these guys are playing this week in Hawaii. I assume not but didn't look into the scheduling to see how they get these events played.

I think they work the schedule with the tour schedule.

No it's not. This will get less viewers than LIV in the long run.

Interesting times currently. These sports leagues generate so much money, investors are throwing money at alot of stuff to see what sticks. NCAA, NFL, NBA, streaming contracts are inspiring to those that like money. New women's basketball 3 on 3 league about to start this winter as well. Hopefully one day I'll have enough collateral to get in on one of these maybe a wnba team or something lol

That seems like it could be difficult to schedule events and hurts the tour by having those players most likely not playing that week.
The players know this is a side gig. PGA tour will not be hurt by this. It’s 3 hrs of quick work, easy money. I’m sure all the players have residence in FL and this is just a quick stop when they are home.

Really? What are the viewership on CW for LIV?

ETA. Quick Google search

Quick scan of google looks like less than 100K to 300K for their events.

They are in discussions with Fox Sports though, which might help a little. Just being on ESPN is plus for any type of content.

They would be better off going with pro indoor mini-golf with some crazy hazards like an alligator pit or cow-manure trap. Now that will get eye-balls.
