Don't just trust those Google auto-spit numbers - go to a source - manufacturer site, Edmunds, c&d, etc.
You wouldn't trust raw Google gun statistics numbers, would ya ; )
Thanks for the info. Is the Acadia Limited upgraded in anyway for 2017 or is it just the 2016 model? I've preferred the GMC Acadia over Chevy Traverse, but will look at this, as the 2018 Traverse looks nice. What's the size comparison to the old & new Acadia? Not pointing you one way or another, but you always could get another 'plus-sized' Acadia. For 2017, GMC has the Acadia Limited which is the old body style alongside the new body style. And for 2018, Chevy just debuted the Traverse at the Detroit Auto Show. It's significantly bigger.
I don't know, but I can't imagine GMC put much into the Acadia Limited when they're investing in the retooling for the '17 model. Salesman told me the Limiteds are still selling fairly well though. I know the '17 is significantly smaller, but take a good look. That third row is still very useable for kids. Thanks for the info. 17 Acadia 193.6x75.4"
17 Acadia Limited 200.8x78.9"
18 Traverse 204.3x78.6"
I'll add to the hijack, as I'm looking to lease a new SUV or CUV this fall when my Acadia lease is up. I've had several Acadias but now they just shrunk it so I'm not sure if I want it. Any suggestions or feedback on these?
GMC Acadia
Mazda CX-9
Ford Explorer
Dodge Durango
Lexus GX
Nissan Armada
GMC Yukon
Chevy Tahoe
Thanks!I can help you with a few of them as I've owned a few. Stay away from Yukon/Tahoes - after 75k, they are a problem waiting to happen. Reliability issues galore. Lexus GX is adequately powered and great reliability but tight on space - if you think Acadia is small, GX is smaller - much smaller. Also, GX has problems with stability on the highway with strong winds due to its high center of gravity. New Nissan Armada - if it is anything like the Infinity QX56/QX80, which I used to own, then it is an excellent truck. Very spacious and can move for a big truck - my favorite big truck of all time. The old Nissan Armada - stay away!!!
I also used to own Jeep Grand Cherokee (and Dodge Omni and Eagle Talon) - never ever again am I buying a Chrysler product.
This is exactly why I research as much as possible when making a purchase. In 2010 I had to decide between '10 or new model '11 Sonata. I never buy a first year model, and opted for the '10 4 cylinder, better reviews. I just drove out to Chicago for a wedding (drove so I could stop in Michigan to see friends on return trip. I'm into taking care of my cars, trip went without a hitch. Single digit temps, 180k on the odometer, piece of cake toughest part was gassing up in 5 degree weather. It would drive me nuts if my car was acting up at 75 kI can help you with a few of them as I've owned a few. Stay away from Yukon/Tahoes - after 75k, they are a problem waiting to happen. New Traverse is a good suggestion, if you can hold off until it launches later this year. Worth a look, nice redesign, imo.
Same story except for 2013. It's the wife's and with 2 small kids, I was adamant we needed more room. She was adamant about no minivan. Coming from a Lexus, for her, it had just enough ride and bling to seal the deal. She's been pretty happy with it.I have a 2014 Buick Enclave which is their version of the GM Lambda platform which also includes the Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia (now Acadia Limited as the new Acadia as noted is smaller). While it gets lousy MPG (~16 combined and 23 on the highway) and is a little under-powered, it is very comfortable, seats 7 well (captains chairs in second row), has a very useable trunk area when the 3rd row is in use and drives very well through most conditions (we have AWD). We have had no issues whatsoever in 35k miles and almost 3 years of ownership (knock on wood). If you need this type of space, i would recommend these crossovers, although as noted, the Acadia is changed for 2017 and the Traverse and Enclave will be for 2018 as well - though the Chevy and Buick will be larger than the GMC. You can probably get a 2016 last year model in a very good deal from Chevy or Buick.
