And even without HR power- he was still considered one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball. And tgere wouldn’t be many teams that would have not jumped if they could have gotten him straight up for their 1B.
He was a unique player but for over a decade, he was just a dominating baseball player. I do think the coke issue hurt him.
Might be a drug use backlash holding him back, but Tim Raines made it despite admitting using coke.
Tim was one of the best during the prime of his career (23years) at stealing bases with a .294 lifetime average, but if he's in ,Hernandez deserves a spot in the HOF because of his all around hitting ability and his excellent D.
I think Keith's problem is he played himself on Seinfeld in a few episodes and his acting turned HOF voters against him 😉
