I have it in my truck, I have the radio plus all the travel features as well. Just got my yearly bill and it has gotten to the point where I do not think it is worth it anymore. Has anybody negotiated a new rate with Sirius? Will they just tell me too bad and leave me with no option but to cancel if I do not feel like paying the current amount?

Call and tell them you want to cancel. Tell them you cant pay that much. They will start offering deals. I have paid as little as $4 per month. Paying about $7 per month. Its not worth it to me to put more and will cancel if they raise it,

Had it for years in 3 different vehicles as well as the wife's. Every time it comes up I call and threaten to drop it. They have always negotiated a lower rate. DO NOT let them renew you automatically after you renegotiate otherwise you will be paying the higher rate. Tell them it is a one off charge.

I actually have it in 3 cars but I was able to get a 2 for 1 deal recently so I am only paying for 2.

This. Just remember one upside to dropping it all together is that you will miss out on the Kyle Flood radio program

I pay $5 a month, just tell them that's all you are willing to pay. They might transfer yku once or twice but you'll get it.

I get the all access (every channel + app/computer access) package for 6 month for $50. This way my wife has it in her car and I stream it on my iPhone anywhere I go including home of course. I actually prefer listening to it on the app via my iPhone because you can pause or rewind a show that started hours prior. As mentioned above make sure that you pay for it as a one time payment and tell them to that you want an invoice after the six month subscription, that way they can not renew your subscription automatically and start billing you $25/month for the exact same service. The only downside is that every six months you have to spend 10-15 minutes on phone with them to do it all over again.

I gave it up because I didn't think it was worth it to just listen in the car, and I switched cars and didn't want to reinstall the radio, but they still send me 5 months for $20 deals in the mail to renew again. That's what they used to offer when I called to cancel. Had kept it a few times before finally pulling the plug. If you are willing to call when it's time to renew, you should never pay full price.

call threaten to cancel, they will ALWAYS offer 5 months for $20 or $25, rinse repeat. I've done it for years. They don't even negotiate. They might offer half off for the year. Just say no, the 5 month offer always comes. worst case, you cancel, and they will email you a couple days later with the 5 for 25 offer.

I tell them that $5 a month is right for me and both sides are happy by the end of the phone conversation. I choose to pay by check rather than doing the automagic renewal stuff with a credit card. They contact me at the appropriate time when the $5 arrangement expires.
