OT: Stop the Presses - Star-Ledger to stop printing

Back in the day the Sunday Star Ledger was THE BEST! Comics and sports all day long. Jerry Izenberg and all the local sports. HS section was always a few pages long. I haven’t read a newspaper like that since the 90s probably but what a great thrill that was going out and getting that big fat paper in the driveway In 2000 they did a team of the century for every HS sport which was just an incredible history of NJ HS sports and its athletes. RIP ledger you had a good run

You didn’t answer my very specific question. I read many sources and draw my own conclusions. I suspect that you don’t want to share your recommendations because of what they will reveal.

I follow alot of different people. I can guarantee you wont understand

None of it involves corporate media. I do watch Fox but surprisingly not my go to at all

His main sources are unvetted, unedited drek from Twitter Bros. The most important thing to do, IMO, with regard to elections (since we're so close to one) is to simply read/watch what the candidates say. If one does that, it's pretty obvious who the best choices are, especially with regard to character, which is so critical for leadership.
As opposed to ny times or ABC..yeah keep being you

I see dumb as rocks

of course you believed sharp as a tack from your sources

I had the Sunday sport page mailed to me by my mom wherever I was, that includes Venezuela and Dominican Republic.
It was my sports Bible growing up.
Best sports page in the country once upon a time
I would have to take multiple week foreign trips periodically and I would have my wife keep the editions I missed while I away. One of the first things I would do when I got back was to flip through them all. I think I couple of times she actually sent a few days over to me. I remember USA Today had an international edition for awhile.

Total and complete end of an era that has been already too long on life support. I used to go out early every Sunday morning and buy the Sunday SL, AP Press and Home News and catch up on all Rutgers and NJ High School sports. I truly miss those days. Go RU!

In Morris County it was the SL, Daily Record and Daily Advance. I started delivering the Advance when I was 9 years old every weekday after school. 75 cents a week and most people would give you a buck on collection day. Christmas time was the best for tips too

AND, what they don't say. Obfuscation is important as well.

Probably a few years earlier, but I delivered The Record for a year. No Sunday edition. 33¢ per week that went up to 35¢. At 35 I was inundated with 2 quarters left on the front steps in envelopes.

Did you also have that big sack with the shoulder strap to carry them in? Part of my route was on a busy road so my mom’s logic in 1971 was riding a bike at that age with the sack is too dangerous so just walk the 2 miles. It may have aided my running career since I always ran the last mile home so I had time to play with my friends

Nope. Bike with racks attached. I got so good I could reach back and get a paper with with one hand, fold it riding no hands and go back to 2 hands as I rode up the front walk. And similar to you, the result of all that riding in 14 years of interscholastic, intercollegiate and club sports I never had hamstring issues.

Why is it garbage? What would be your top 3 least bias news sources.

They are all biased. You will not find any news sources without a bias. News of omission is enormous. News of agenda plentiful. They useful for certain news yes. But you need research the story through other ways. Yes i use twitter. Yes you have to weed through bullshit at times.

There are so many phony narrative stories AP and CBS have pushed its ridiculous. Just watch how Norah frames her evening news

Steve Bannon calls Fox "tv for stupid people."
Its not as psyoped as the other nets but its still a neo-con agenda.
Jason Chaffetz, Lindsey Graham and Karl Rove are among last people I want to watch
Murdochs hate DT - the divide between Murdochs and staff are why they settled lawsuits instead of fighting them (Murdochs happy for a loss).

All TV news was blob-psyoped for Ukraine with months of "Ukraine winning!" when they were getting decimated .
Podcacsts, Substack are good ways to get more reliable facts.
Youtube can be good but its censored/purged (even Keto MDs targeted - Google hates meat).
IBD used to have best editorials but I think they paywalled

I don't think you are making the point you think you are. Biden ran as a moderate and said he would bring the country together. He did anything but once elected. Harris has flip-flopped all her stances. You can't trust either because it's obvious they are just actors.

I always thought CNN was supposed to be mainstream. I never watch the news channels but my company keeps CNN on in the break rooms. Total garbage on all day. It's just as bad as ESPN. How do people watch that? I can't image what an MSNBC or Fox News is like.

Isn’t it strange how “conspiracy theories” spewed by “tin foil hat wearers” come true more times than not? Stop with the bullying by dismissing people as tin foil hat wearers.

looks like Maude is sundowning
It was just sun up. Heading to the beach later to enjoy a beautiful day. You should get your face out of RW Twitter (Pizzagate Jack, Insurrectionist Barbie, and some pimple faced 18 year old kid in Mom's basement) and enjoy life instead of attacking anyone or anything that doesn't adhere to your narrow views.

They were pretty good when they had anchors like Bernard Shaw.
"Showbiz Today" was pretty good.
Gradually the place morphed odd.

Business reporter Richard Quest was arrested in Central Park while nude and his Willy tied to his neck.
Jeff Toobin was caught fapping during a zoom meeting.
Chris Cuomo had his show producer caught having sex with 9 yr old.

Wrong people hired other wrong people until the place was a zoo.
Steve Jobs used to warn about corporations and companies going to seed over time.
JFK was warned about agencies and he and RFK had to go outside for walks to talk without being spied on.
Once weeds are in the garden it takes effort to weed them out.

Decimated? Russia to this day is still not even close to winning.

All i can say is its great news for us RU fans and finally "EAT SH!T" to Ted Sherman and Josh Margolin, two people who are responsible for the struggles of RU athletics at times over the last 15 years along with all the hack reporters that had an obvious bias against RU over the years. Good Riddance.
