I said earlier the SL Exec from my gun club talked about the change in culture and issues at the paper and he left years ago. Media is almost a pyramid outlet now

the msm is dead, the way people get their news has changed, you can inform yourself through podcasts, citizen journalists or live videos of breaking events on twitter provide greater speed and accuracy then networks...yes you must be careful with vids....some end up fake, thats why you have to do your due dilligence
and if you dont have time to vet your sources, then you will get your news from your phone and the fake headlines and news of omission...an example of that was the comments made last night

I always liked the Tony Soprano scenes getting the paper in his driveway. Sunday sports section in the fall was a treat - nfl previews , college football results , high school football results , MLB , and a column by izenberg. That was years ago and I am sure hasn’t been the same

I know a lot of folks are riled up in this thread, but overall I liked their sports pages. Will miss that. They were critical; sometimes overly critical, no doubt. But their overall coverage of college sports was better than most other papers across the country, including those is college sports crazy towns. Also liked the pro team coverage.

I hope America News Network and/or Newsmax aren't recommended as sources , they like the sly Fox had to shell out some bucks to pay for their lies . So should be considered untrustworthy , just like the Fox is. 😁
His main sources are unvetted, unedited drek from Twitter Bros. The most important thing to do, IMO, with regard to elections (since we're so close to one) is to simply read/watch what the candidates say. If one does that, it's pretty obvious who the best choices are, especially with regard to character, which is so critical for leadership.

Best financial reporting in print. Most straightforward and least biased front page reporting in print. Some people might not like the editorial page, but the quality of the rest of the paper is undeniable
