I remember Francesa yelling at his producer to get either the refs or the BE commissioner on the phone.

Given what we now know about Mike Rice's impulse control, I can't believe he held it together. I actually don't think he saw the out of bounds thing because he was looking for the foul on Biruta at halfcourt. I was actually impressed with his composure about it in his post-game press conference.

Rice was also composed back at Robert Morris when his team was treated nearly as badly in an NCAA game against Villanova -- those situations were never his issue. I don't think he was impulsive -- what he did in practice was pretty calculated.

Not sure about that. Maybe he was just good with refs.

During games his voice was booming when he was chewing out his players. One time after calling a timeout he walked half way on the court and screamed what the F are you doing at Biruta so loud that we heard it in the 300s. We didn’t think that much of it, but it was a little shocking because you don’t normally see that..

If I recall correctly the St. Johns player took a few steps before throwing the ball so the clock should have stopped due to traveling.

Yes, I thought the uncalled foul on Mitchell was the most ideal thing to have been called. You never see refs call what happened to Biruta on the long inbound and while the travel and throw OOB was the most blatant and memorable no-call, RU probably still loses if it's called.

But Mitchell was a good FT shooter and that probably would have done it.
