I'd be OK with parking just on 9, 10 and 12 -- the holes where I can't score no matter what. Parking off limits on the other 15 holes.

True, but............

1. Its once a year
2. Its only on the 18th hole, not the whole course.
3. The cars are carefully placed by professionals, not Drunken fans having fun doing donuts.

When I went to the U.S. Open at Baltusrol I parked my own car on a green. I kept asking the guy as I got closer and closer, "Are you sure you want me here?"

When I went to the US open there, I parked at the quarry they always use. Not aware they used the upper course for parking. Pretty dumb to let people park on the greens.

Agree, which is why I kept asking him if it was okay.

I'll never reach the green there but pretty cool to say my car did. LOL
