Mag (disappears for stretches and games at a time - no points tonight, has stupid fouls every game)
A Williams (if he gets fouled it’s a turnover might as well have thrown it 3 rows into the stands because he cant make a FT)

I wish Simpson was average. 1-7 0-4 tonight and one of the least efficient shooters I've ever seen ranking near dead last nationally

Second half outrebounded 25-9 because he played 3 6’ guards the whole second half what the hell did he think this wasn’t going to happen
Griffiths and Davis didn’t play great but they were our two high scorers as freshmen on a team that could only score 46. They had nearly half of our points.
Looks to me like a few guys are not willing to fight for a .500 season. And I’m not talking about GG and JMike.
Mag and Hyatt were nailed to the bench the second half while we rotated in Oskar and Griffiths and trotted out three tiny guards. They produced zero offense and corralled a total of 9 rebounds in the second half. Hyatt and Mag didn’t play well but they have the potential to do something positive offensively. Absolutely infuriating rotation in the second half turned a an ugly but very winnable game into a 15 blowout to a terrible team playing without its leading scorer. I have no explanation or excuses to offer for that coaching exhibition.
Davis took as many shots as Cliff, Hyatt, and Mag combined in 23 minutes in the floor. If I’m an opposing coach I’m loving that.

Yup, I said on the Indiana board before we played them that we were gonna be in last place this year. It was so obvious after the Wake game.
I wonder how they feel about losing to the last place team.
Pike sending a message but was the wrong game for that IMO. Had to try to see if they could turn it around and steal the win
Gavin really baffled me in the first half. He had the hot hand offensively. More importantly he got the crowd going. The roar was deafening when he would score. Then it was like a recreation league rotation, four minutes, times up Gavin sit down. Watch him hit the portal next year.
Really wonder sometimes if the light is even on upstairs. What a terrible thing to say - geesh.

I don't know about GG, but JMike should be starting and playing at least 30 minutes per game. He might be our most solid all around player.
JMike is the only player on the team that plays with any fire and energy. Should definitely be starting at this point with extended minutes. Let him and GG both play through growing pains. Will only benefit next year.
He is not the only player playing with fire. I am not a big believer in Simpson, buy last night he was battling. He was working hard trying to rebound the basketball. He didn't get a lot of them, but he was working hard.
Thanks for mentioning that. We have a short guard who really battles for boards and we have tall guys who just don’t. Oskar should be a student manager. Have you ever even seen him work up a sweat? Gavin also doesn’t rebound a lick, but at least he brings some offense to the team

Simpson did have a lot of rebounds. Eight, which happened to lead the team.
common practice of his. He's not a "feel" coach but a pre-programmed stopwatch.
The one thing I really like about him. He's a twig but gets after the ball.
That's good because the "feel" that people drone on about here is 99% nonsense.
He grabbed three whole rebounds? He happened to grab one and then immediately turned over the ball after so you could essentially subtract that one. Yes, as of late he is more effective and willing rebounder, but his numbers for the season are very poor especially considering his height. I happen to think Gavin will be fine next season, but he is far from a complete player I expected
in NHL2024 you get 1 timeout and your players get 100% energy. Very important to use it wisely.

Baldwin played all 40 minutes last night, these are kids and the game was not exactly some intense energy filled slugfest
it was more poorly played combined than the RU-Indiana game
that strategy...you dont have to pull 5. I looked at the stat sheet at half and 10 players had taken shots...you might think its a good thing...i think its horrific
why Pike doesnt just try to establish something for lengthy periods..there is no reason anyone even has to come out after the 16 minute mark let alone 4-5 players. Then when certain bench players had shown promise, they promptly were sent to the bench
then we start the half not with Gavin but with Austin and we see how that worked. Bottom line the only ones providing offense last night were J Mike and Gavin...when Gavin is in, they have to defend him and that is going to free up some others, We have better movement with J Mike and Gavin in the game, two games in a row I have seen that.
