I wasn’t just looking at you (sorry to imply that), sooo many people like to point to that but it’s just not fact.
I was a conduct a search guy, I still think in a country with 350+ million people their hast to be another person who is not only compatible but would be great for what Rutgers is. That’s Education before athletics, the BOG have proved that before and are still saying it.
That said, I don’t think that is what happens. No national search is being conducted, it will be St Greg. It’s the honest to god Rutgers thing to do.
It will make the Schiano or bust crowd happy. So Rutgers will naturally think season tickets will go back up so all is good.
I don’t want or think 6-6 is anything great with some crap assed bowl as a reward.
Save me the replies from you Schiano people I don’t care what he did here before. Big East was garbage and he never won it. B1G is a different animal.

Here’s a real question that I’m curious about and I have not seen answered.
How many people on this site have used the phrase “Ped or Pedo State” are Schiano or bust people?
Seems a total and complete set of double standards no???

I had to google to find out who he is. So that's one problem for me right there. Cause a lot of other people would also. So not exactly a name that moves the needle. Another is I'm not sure he's ready for this level. Needs to be better than 3-4 in his 1st step up before I'm ready to say he is.

People in football circles know who he is, the guy recruited the hell out of the mid Atlantic including New Jersey at JMU. He knows all the coaches and all the Hs coaches know and respect him.

We aren’t going to able to attract a ‘known commodity’ unless he’s damaged goods so we need to focus on coaches on the come up. He’s in his first year at ECU and with another coaches kids (a team that went 3-8 last year mind you) he’s already matched last years win total and their games are far more competitive than last year. We will have whomever the next coach is for at least 3 years and Houston will be snatched up well before that.
I don’t think it will happen at Rutgers bc I have no faith in part Hobbs in regards to football however in 5 years or less Mike Houston will be a household name wherever he lands... look up his speeches on YouTube and tell me you wouldn’t love him....

he’s the best realistic option we have, I’m not pro schiano, Moorhead is meh and I’m not interested in another coordinator without much/any HC experience

The Jordan hire bears no similarity whatsoever to the prospect of hiring Schiano!! GS was a proven coach already that had some success and built a culture at Rutgers. Jordan was never considered to be a savior, but an option of hiring a player legend to rebuild the program. (e.g. Ewing/Georgetown, Mullin/St John’s) ..When I was a kid I saw Eddie play over 50 games live ( his father sat in front of us at the Barn games ) and Jordan was also one of the most popular players in RU history. A more accurate comparison would be if they brought back Tom Young after the Littlepage disaster..Schiano left Rutgers before the “foundation” as he described it, was completely built. He now has to start over but has the tools to do so..
