PASS!

Let him transfer to a mid major and then we get him 2019-20 for 1 year if he is good. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I know he shot 43+% from 3, but he barely played. I have to think he cant guard anyone. If we need shooting that desperately we could pick up Higgins uncle.

Now if picking him up gets us a better shot at Julio Jones I might consider it.

Not a total surprise as this was rumored-------don't understand it as next year the spot was his but have to assume he didn't like the way he was utilized this year.

Great shooter----not slightly great-----limited athlete.

Greenie my advice to Coach P would be if the kid has interest in Rutgers reach out immediately.

He's exactly what Rutgers lacks.

No clue where he goes but would be a great fit in Beilein's system .

Duncan Robinson clone

Skip on ryan as well.

Sophmore who got his minutes cut in half from his freshman year. Also, at 6 7 and 230 he could not even grab 1 rebound?Major red flag.

Melo Trimble declares with an agent.

Wonder where he ends up. You mentioned he could go undrafted and I agree.

I thought of Duncan Robinson when looking at his height, weight and shooting %.

He might be Duncan Robinson in 2018-19, but in '2017-18 he will be more like me.

Haha, we will not be able to field a team with the amount of kids we talk about on the board who will have to sit a year!
UCF just won 24 games and went to the NIT final four with seven scholarship players and a graduate assistant that they added to the roster. I think they had four transfers sitting out this season.

It's all about who can play + coaching

What I know is that almost every player on the Rutgers squad is more complementary than being a difference maker.Rutgers needs more players to transfer and be replaced with players that can shoot .Status quo will just ensure another losing season.

For sure. I was more making a joke to Choppin.

I thought I would bump this, now that Johnson is one, and Laurent appears gone, and there have been a couple of threads on replacement players, and some recruits.

I figure RU needs 2 players who might be available right away: A shooter and a big man.

Personally, I kind of liked post player Jack Whitman of W&M - any updates on him? Not a defender or bruiser, but some size and some offensive skills. Good be helpful, even in the Big Ten.

Pikiell needs to get (or keep) the ball rolling so on April 18, 2019 if we lose a guy it is next guy up from the roster as opposed to looking externally to fill. I get uneasy fishing in the graduate transfer market. I understand it is necessary right now and probably next year.

If anyone hears anything different than potential, drop a note.

I would think a transfer center is our biggest need.

2018, Pikiell will have a chance to seal the deal with Mathis or Cotton.

I like Jack Whitman as a mobile Big Man IF the numbers permit it. I think he would be a nice complement to the bigger Doorson and Diallo. He could also slide into the 4 spot if Pikiell wanted to go big at times.
