Holy crappola, Buxton possibly as well. If this comes to fruition, this staff has been gutted.I just listened to Donny on Flo with Bader and it sure sounds like Buxton and Sebastian are gone.

Time to put plan C or D into operation!Holy crappola, Buxton possibly as well. If this comes to fruition, this staff has been gutted.
And from what I heard Buxton wasn’t here because of a relationship with Goody.agreed, that was my worry...Buxton is the freestyle guru
Apparently just giggle. Will the pom-pom boys tell us how this is okay, or just giggle?
Pat who has great insight and inside knowledge of the program also thinks so.I just listened to Donny on Flo with Bader and it sure sounds like Buxton and Sebastian are gone.
Pat is generally right
So Pat can figure out that a Bronze medal hug means something? A true seer!! How about our resident board members who are in the room? This topic has been pretty quiet. What say you???
This has little to do with a hug. I guess you didn’t listen to the Flo interview? And I hope the silence turns out to be that Buxton and Sebastian stay. But the silence is deafening and not in a good way. Pat is very tied into wrestling, and more specifically PA and NJ.So Pat can figure out that a Bronze medal hug means something? A true seer!! This conversation has taken place every week for the past 2 months since Donny got hired at Columbia. I don’t know one way or the other but nothing has changed since the last time people speculated about what’s going on with the coaches and it likely won’t until the program makes an announcementSo Pat can figure out that a Bronze medal hug means something? I didn't listen to the interview. I was going by his quote: "This Olympic medal hug gives me the feeling that SeaBass will be headed to NYC soon…"This has little to do with a hug. And my post was responding to and adding to the Flo interview with Donnie where he mentions Buxton and Sebastian by name when discussing his staff.I didn't listen to the interview. I was going by his quote: "This Olympic medal hug gives me the feeling that SeaBass will be headed to NYC soon…"
Or Laughing at You!...Why don't you stop being so miserable on the Rutgers Wrestling Forum and find a school you supportHard to resist giggling.
It's been very silent on this front. I figured soon after the Olympics, we would have heard one way or another what was going to happen. What ever happened with Rivera? He staying or off to Columbia?
In that Kosko interview Goodale insinuated he was going with Donny. It's been very silent on this front. I figured soon after the Olympics, we would have heard one way or another what was going to happen.
And there you have it. Sounds like Goodale f'ed it up. What the hell happened?Sure sounds like Columbia - certainly worth a listen. Frankie Edgar's podcast @ 57:15:
I'm guessing it was letting Donnie leave... I'm not sure if Goodale had planned/agreed upon retiring by this point and then changed his mind. Sounds like Donnie was ready to lead a program and didn't want to wait around any longer. And there you have it. Sounds like Goodale f'ed it up. What the hell happened?
Anxiously awaiting the spin on how this is actually positive for the program.Sure sounds like Columbia - certainly worth a listen. Frankie Edgar's podcast @ 57:15:
Yeah, the "I don't know if they handle the situation the best way they could have, nothing against him, but I guess, he's got to do what he's got to do" line lays it right at Goodale's feet. Still can't believe we're about to lose a bronze medalist. What a missed opportunity not only for coaching but recruiting. Goodale is not beyond reproach and the moves made this offseason have not been good. And there you have it. Sounds like Goodale f'ed it up. What the hell happened?
Yeah, the "it could have been handled better" line lays it right at Goodale's feet. Still can't believe we're about to lose a bronze medalist. What a missed opportunity not only for coaching but recruiting. Goodale is not beyond reproach and the moves made this offseason have not been good.
Very telling the way Edgar reacts to the news. They are all Ocean County guys (sea bass, Edgar and goody) Edgar was on staff at Rutgers and he talks more about the respect he has for Pritzlaff.Sure sounds like Columbia - certainly worth a listen. Frankie Edgar's podcast @ 57:15:
What did he mean by “it could have been handled better”?? Can anyone explain the situation and context?Yeah, the "it could have been handled better" line lays it right at Goodale's feet. I just shortened it, sorry the line should have been, "I don't know if they handled the situation the best way they could have, nothing against him, but I guess he's got to do what he's got to do." He's obviously talking about Goodale and what eventually led them to leave. What did he mean by “it could have been handled better”?? Can anyone explain the situation and context?
Yeah what eventually led them to leave I meant?? Is it mainly bc Goodale doesn’t wanna give up HC spot and Donny wants that position??I just shortened it, sorry the line should have been, "I don't know if they handled the situation the best way they could have, nothing against him, but I guess he's got to do what he's got to do." Or maybe Rivera wanted the assistant job and they went for others first.I'm guessing it was letting Donnie leave... I'm not sure if Goodale had planned/agreed upon retiring by this point and then changed his mind. Sounds like Donnie was ready to lead a program and didn't want to wait around any longer.
Probably a factor but what are they supposed to do? Pritzlaff and Rivera are similar type coaches in that they’re both lower weight guys. You can’t really have both of them as assistant coaches.Or maybe Rivera wanted the assistant job and they went for others first.
Yeah, hey, what's going on here folks?! The way I see it, either way, this opens up opportunities for guys to step up. So all in all, it's a positive and net win! Go RU!!Yeah what eventually led them to leave I meant?? Is it mainly bc Goodale doesn’t wanna give up HC spot and Donny wants that position??
Awful and poor decisions. One sure fire stud coach gone and now a current World silver medalist and Bronze Olympic medalist follow. No way to spin this unless Goody gives us an absolute stud or two into the program..pronto.Yeah, the "I don't know if they handle the situation the best way they could have, nothing against him, but I guess, he's got to do what he's got to do" line lays it right at Goodale's feet.
