Lost 12-8 at home to Towson...and Hopkins goalie has been ruled out for being academically ineligible. Might be 0-2 out of the gate for the B1G.

Hopkins struggled to end the season. How did they get a home game?

Which of their goalies is out? Can't watch but saw the score. Ouch!

For many, this will be proof positive that we didn't belong.

Think the BIG will go 1-4 in opening round with Maryland the only win. Loyola will also beat OSU which should be the best game tomorrow.

Why does it tick you off ? I could have seen Albany seeded ahead of us but who else ?

We beat Ohio State and Md along with Duke who is obviously better than Hopkins.

One goal losses to Denver , Cuse----we're good not great and if we aren't a 4 seed we're a 5.

We get Denver next weekend-----they have pretty much owned us in the last 3 years.

No answer for Baptiste at X and Cannizaro .

I'm pretty sure he was pissed that a garbage team, Marquette was in over us. ND deserved 100% to be in. RU is 5 goals better than Marquette and would've at least put up a fight vs ND.

Marquette took ND to the last 30 seconds 3 weeks ago at ND .

They won the conference tournament-----as did UNC. Both beat Top 5 ranked teams to do it.

His problem is with the AQ bid to tourney winners not Marquette. I completely get that but rules are rules.

Personally I watched Hopkins and wondered how this crap team gets in and gets a home game. They were easily the worst looking team in the opening round.

Matt...any further details on the situation surrounding the Hopkins goalie's eligibility. He played all season and one would think this carries over to the tournament. I could understand his not being eligible for any fall participation etc. Not too many tears shed regarding JH other than it's a B1G participant losing and the same with PSU. One would like to think that Rutgers would have been a better selection. Hopkins definitely gets the "good old boy" treatment and now 2 years hasn't shown up well. This year they caught us following the Maryland game which took the starch out of both teams pmus we played them at home and I believe on a bad weather day. Not a big excuse but I am sure contributed to the loss and less than stellar play.

Being that many schools graduate (meaning the semester is over), could that impact a player's academic eligibility like it does midseason?

Philafan... that is the only thing I could think of. But apparently he played the entire year and schedule. Is it any different if he would have graduated on May 1 and had no more eligibility.
