Reason why ncaa tournament is late this year ?

Is there a reason why the tournament was pushed back a week?
Usually selection Sunday is second Sunday in March and the championship game is first Monday in April. This years it’s being played April 8

I like the season stretched out. But was just wondering why.

Back in 2002 when 4/1 was on a Monday, they played the Champ game on 4/1. However, the last two times the calendar fell this was, it was on 4/8. So, it’s not entirely new (no idea why though).
