Can SVN beat out Bartlett for 149lb spot? If they bring in Woods I think it would be for the 141 spot..SVN didn't have a great RS frosh year
Per wrestle stat he was 2 and 0. Winning by pin and major decision. He had 2 medical forfeits so maybe he was hurt. Where did you see that he didn't have a great year? Can SVN beat out Bartlett for 149lb spot? If they bring in Woods I think it would be for the 141 spot..SVN didn't have a great RS frosh year
If SVN can’t beat Bartlett for 149 that would be a pretty big bust for SVN. Plus BB more of a natural 141 now that Lee is gone. Can SVN beat out Bartlett for 149lb spot? If they bring in Woods I think it would be for the 141 spot..SVN didn't have a great RS frosh year
Yep unless someone comes in n beats him for the spot… no one’s spot is really safe at PSU, aka AA Beard, unless ur one of their big guns.Bartlett going to 141
Any shot Turley can make 165? He tried wrestling there as a freshman but had trouble. Not sure if he’s that much bigger now or if a couple years of college discipline can make up the difference?
Interesting…that must be the M2 connection. Perry is obviously a stud but still surprised PSU offered him so early. I don’t think he was a major force until he put on like 50 lbs of solid muscle in 1-2 years (cough, HGH) and pretty sure Vince Bouzakis has beaten him a few times.PA freshman, Dalton Perry, committed to PSU.
Technically, PSU can't recruit or offer him because he's a freshman, but that doesn't stop a commitment. With Taylor training him at M2, I'm sure the commitment was "accepted" and "approved." 😉 And his mom apparently works for PSU, according to social.Interesting…that must be the M2 connection. There were talking bout this on FRL.. there’s literally no upside for a recruit to “commit” so early. If PSU recruits someone better, they technically don’t have to honor thisInteresting…that must be the M2 connection. Perry is obviously a stud but still surprised PSU offered him so early. The upside is they get 4,000 likes on Instagram. That’s half of what these kids want at that age. There were talking bout this on FRL.. there’s literally no upside for a recruit to “commit” so early. If PSU recruits someone better, they technically don’t have to honor this
So the #1/top 5 Overall Recruit in USA going 2-0 is a GREAT RS Season? He beat the 89th ranked wrestler and 187th back up from Hofstra at 149lbs..Wish him luck and a big fan of SVN but 2 wins in a 4 month season and Bigger he had injury/surgery in his 1st college season is far from Great year for him. I think he would tell you the same! BlueMountain You call that a GREAT year?Per wrestle stat he was 2 and 0. Winning by pin and major decision. He had 2 medical forfeits so maybe he was hurt. so true…I believe you can’t officially commit until June 15 after sophomore year…but sounds like Perry is just leaning on the PSU and M2 connectionsThere were talking bout this on FRL.. there’s literally no upside for a recruit to “commit” so early. Were you trying to prove my point by posting his track profile? Perry walks around at like 135+ and I said “1-2 years”. And it’s not just Perry = HGH is a big problem in the youth wrestling world right now.Are you sure you didn’t wander over from HR? Accusing a 9th grader of taking HGH because you don’t like where he committed is worthy of the Cesspool. His “commitment” is basically meaningless at this point in terms of anything binding. It just shows his enthusiasm and desire (at this point) to be part of the program. Dependents of employees only pay 25% of the tuition, so that is big as well. Take a look at his weight gain- not 50 pounds in a year.

Nobody is crapping on the kid. Plenty of NJ kids are using HGH. And you may want to check your math because he basically went from less than 90 lbs to about 140 and is as wide as he is tall of solid muscle. Regardless, you are misinterpreting my post. Good for Perry!Except 2 years ago, he was 20 pounds lighter, not 50. Either way, he’s a ninth grade kid. I don’t get crapping on any kid but you do you.
NP - Perry is a stud and from what I hear a nice kid. And he seems to be more focused on wrestling instead of marketing (cough, Bassett).Sorry if I misread- so many baseless accusations on HR have possibly made me quick to take offense.
Give me a break! Do you really think PSU would give that kind of money to Woods instead of using it to entice RBY to come back? Askren is a tool.
Nice play of the Sandusky card- totally unrelated to the discussion at hand. But I bet you feel righteous now.Penn State has 10 million plus in their club fund...If they want Woods then thats nothing to them..Probably not happening but were talking Penn State and nothing would surprise me...They gave a known pedophile with the keys to the University
I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. They could easily being doing both.Give me a break! Do you really think PSU would give that kind of money to Woods instead of using it to entice RBY to come back? Askren is a tool.
Just out of curiosity do you patronize all the posters that badmouth Rutgers on the Penn State boardNice play of the Sandusky card- totally unrelated to the discussion at hand. But I bet you feel righteous now.
Kurzer is a tough kid that probably spent too much time in the local leagues growing up. But with the right coaching and partners there may be significant upside.Looks like we got another walk-on type commit. Don't know much about him but it looks like he never placed in the state tournament.
He’s really strong on top , rode Vasquez out 3 different times for a whole period this year …his junior coach was actually a D3 ncaa finalist, kid always seemed small for the weightKurzer is a tough kid that probably spent too much time in the local leagues growing up. Now reported at $225kHighly unlikely. IMO
