Richard Pitino and Eddie Jordan walk in to a bar...

And say we play each other twice, we win one, you win one, we don't both go winless and we save our jobs

Here is a terrible attempt....

Richard Pitino, Eddie Jordan and his fall recruiting class walk in to the bar and order drinks. The bartender pours them 2 beers. A guy with a red hat walks up to Eddie and asks for his autograph and he signs. A half naked guy in the back of the bar yells at Richard asking him if he has made his bed.

Utter amazement that Minnesota has hired Don Monson, Clem Haskins and Tubby Smith as basketball coaches and somehow determined that all THREE coaches were eventually not good enough to coach their program....mostly because they may have missed the NCAA tournament by a single basket or one game during each of their respective careers in Minneapolis....

Meanwhile, Tubby Smith revived instantly a Texas Tech program broken after Bobby Knight left and they had the audacity to try and pigeon hole his son Pat Knight into the program as a coach....remember this is the program decimated similarly to what RU has seen in recent years, practically winless in conference a couple of years ago in the Big 12. They also had the idiot fan curse out Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart after he somehow got mixed up under the basket a couple of years ago.

Sometimes certain irrational people with money that are alumni/donors in Minnesota, decided that Richard Pitino fresh off moderate success at a mid major, was the "hot" name and suddenly better than Tubby Smith........in Year 3 of Pitino Jr's regime, Minnesota still is miles better than RU can dream of or by financial default because of how much money they've made over the years..... but in the grand scheme of things, Minny has no excuse at all to be run off the court at home by Northwestern by 25 and go back to back with another debacle to lose to Nebraska by another 25+ points. This is as quick of a meltdown as I've seen of a solid program....perhaps it's just a slump, but somehow it looks eerily similar to what we are watching at RU right now. It's not just injuries or talent, it just appears to be a clear disconnect between fans and coach and it's spreading to a point where desperation isn't there, it's a mailing in of effort by the Minnesota staff.

There is no way Pitino Jr earns anything beyond a 4th year next year, so Minnesota is a wealthy program funded for decades by B1G money and doesn't know how to harness or manage itself. It's one thing to hire great coaches and talent and there is another to have common sense to watch it develop and grow or understand your landscape. They will pull the plug and it's another program with a quick trigger that will try and fund another coach.....this debacle in Minnesota, offers RU a chance to quickly move past a team and program in the next couple of years, if RU can make a decent hire after Jordan's regime is over, whether after this season or next.

These opportunities when presented, need to be watched so RU doesn't make the same mistakes of schools like Minnesota continue to make. Penn State is also on the watch for exercising patience with Pat Chambers in his attempts to build their program. RU should be better than both Minny and PSU along with NWestern and Nebraska if they have normal coaching staffs in place. But PSU,NW and Nebraska are well coached teams that are exercising some sanity.

RU needs to find their coach to fix the program, while the doors are opening to move up quickly in the B1G landscape. Football is being quickly fixed, hoops should be next while the opportunity presents itself.

I have no idea why you find that funny.

I think he's right. RU needs to find a fixer and exercise some patience.
