We need to get bats to wake up. Just gave up a 4 spot in 5th inning to Tigers. They are horrible too at 2 - 10.

The midweek games are going to be weird. There’s a big drop off after our weekend rotation

10 walks in 6 innings. Wow. Down 6-4 in the bottom of the 6th. This game has a looooong way to go. Guessing the Wednesday pitchers are the 2nd teamers.

Harris w an RBI to make it 6-5 but gets thrown out at 3rd with only 1 out, ugh. And thrown out at 2nd earlier on a double steal.

“Guessing”?? Yeah you (typically) don’t throw your 1,2, or 3, during the week. They’re for conference play now.

Bases loaded w nobody out, but Folunucz comes out injured sliding into 3rd. Hopefully not too serious. He's important, obviously.

Welsh strikes out w bases loaded. His 4th strikeout on the day.

Now Bowerbank strikes out w bases loaded. Give the Princeton reliever credit.
DiGiorgio grounds out.

Bases loaded , no outs, and zippo.

That’s brutal. Bases loaded, 0 out, 7th inning down a run? SACRIFICE the tying run in for Christ’s sake!!!

The Princeton reliever Kimbell is just mowing down the our Scarlet Knights w ease now. He's probably their best reliever.

Love the potential with our weekend pitching rotation, but woof we are going to be brutal in the middle of the week. Just cancel these games at this point. I’m kidding, but you get my point. We have two games with Nova next week. Honest question, do we even have enough pitching to handle two mid week games?

Yes squeeze. Had a chance to squeeze in a run earlier & left the guy on third. Have to make something happen. We play by the book on the bases. Need to run at them, especially when it's not called for. Another thing, we take these modern leads off second, go just so far then a few more steps with the pitch. The pitcher never has to worry. Need a much more aggressive lead. Make them deal with you. Get the SS & 2nd baseman moving. Don't let the pitcher play pitch & catch. Oftentimes the pitcher will lose his concentration & lay one in there or lose his control. Make him deal with you. When you run & run bad throws happen & lead to runs & more miscues. Also builds momentum.
