RU-Michigan game in primetime on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2

Concerned that this is our 3rd straight game against highly ranked opponent, but this is what we signed up for. Night home game on ABC/ESPN against top team is great for our image and recruiting, as long as...

How about this: beat Iowa, play tough against OSU and beat Michigan. 5-1 record with Illinios coming in the next week.

Iowa was the most overrated team in the country last year. They're beatable...especially at home. All we can ask is a tough game vs. OSU..doubt we beat them.

Tough stretch, but definitely not out of the question.

Love to see

IOWA as a 7PM kickoff on the BTN ...We have a pretty good shot at being 2-1 (ill dream privately for 3-0)....and awesome time a year for a long tailgate and atmosphere for the 2015 Rose Bowl big ten reps

PENN STATE at 3:30 PM on ABC regional

If we got those two with Michigan at night on ESPN/ABC...I'll live with 3 of the other 4 homes games at noon kickoffs....

- Iowa will not be at night

- lol at those taking Iowa so damn lightly (like people did the last 2 years with Wiscy and The Huskers).

I'm wondering if we continue the blackout games or if Ash does away with these too.

Hopefully we keep them!

Im usually one to say we should keep em, but the Blackout thing has only really been around for 4-5 years, and quite honestly not everyone adheres to it.

It took a decades to get everyone to wear red to the game, lets stick with that for a while.

Hasn't everything we've seen alluded to there not being a slot available? Did I miss an update? Thanks.
I haven't seen anything persuasive that it won't be on BTN in prime time. Most of the other games people mentioned will likely be picked up on ABC/ESPN networks.

We have real coaches this year...and Iowa is at home. They aren't UNBEATABLE like some people are making them out to be. It will be tough, and not sure who's "taking them lightly"...buts its a game we certainly can win.

I know we have "real coaches," and that the game is "at home," but you - and a few others - are seriously underestimating them as THIS was the year they were originally expected to be very good, not last year, and they were a damn good team last year (finished 22nd in Sagarin despite the hammering they took at the hands of a top 5 Stanford team). Oh they'll probably have 5,000+ Hawkeye fans in the stands, btw, so the "HFA" will once again be drastically reduced.

No, they're not "unbeatable," but that doesn't mean they aren't going to be heavy favorites - they will be - or that we'll be able to keep this one even close, especially so early on in this regime and with this O, which makes me wonder why people are elevating their expectation levels. Of course I WANT to beat them but, com'on, look at things with a hint of realism here Mike. We have a TON of question marks right now.

How about you we not get embarrassed against a good team like we have for the last 3 years. How about no 24 point losses this season?

In this day and age there would be absolutely nothing wrong with losing to Michigan and Ohio st 45-21. EXPECTING a better effort than that may be misguided (this year). Nothing wrong with hoping for one though.

I agree with everything you are saying. I never said otherwise.

But why laugh at people who say we have a chance to win the game? No one is taking them lightly as you said...

We took #4 MSU down to the wire last year. We will be a better team, and I don't think this Iowa team will be as good as last year's MSU team.

Just think you are taking them a little too seriously..they aren't world beaters. We CAN win the game..that's ALL i, and others, are suggesting. You seem to think otherwise. All good.

Maybe, but how about not giving up 35 points in the first half. Or even 27. Try not to get boat raced.

LC took MSU "down to the wire" - along with the fact that MSU lest 13-20 point "on the field" - let's be honest, right? Now we could be a "better" team this year, in some aspects, but that may very well not translate into more wins. Again, I fully expect teams - especially early on - to abuse our back 7 on D. Hate to say it, and there is some talent, but our secondary isn't suddenly going to be 50 secondaries better than last year, so combined with the fact that we have absolutely no experience starting at the linebacker spot, this is going to be a very serious issue that coaching staffs on the other side of the ball are going to take advantage of come September.

Iowa is going to be a VERY difficult task but I'm hoping we pull it off as well!

Show of hands...who had us beating Michigan 2 years ago? That was one year after having a pretty bad season in the AAC with a dismantled secondary due to graduation and kids leaving the program. Anyone? Buehler?

I am with you Mikemarc and booooooo to all of the naysayers who have us winning 3 games this year. I know they will be high fiving in the stands when we win or play well but booooooooo for now.

Again, I agree with you. Going to be VERY difficult.

My philosophy, no matter the team..any game, any weekend, is winnable. And any game is losable.

Each team will start with 0 points. Each team will have 11 players. Rutgers just has to show up and win. Think its very possible, with this coaching staff, and this team..

Can't wait to find out.
