RU, OSU, Temple to Hold Camp

Until this year I have never heard camps report what their capacity is or how full they were. Ever. Have you? I haven't heard anything since most of the jersey coaches said they were supporting the Rutgers led camp.

I'm not worried about attendance if that's what you're thinking.
No that's not what I was thinking. I was honestly curious as like you I had not heard anything since 5/10 articles that you mention. Was just curious. As to had I heard camp numbers before? Yes. When advertising a camp a limit is often given. I assume to create a sense of urgency to players to register. My question was not a Mich vs Rutgers thing.

This is a thread about Rutgers response to Michigan's Paramus Catholic camp... Harbaugh just added John Harbaugh to it. It's relevant. Keep crying, though.

So you just go make yourself a nuisance on other teams' boards? What a pathetic human being you must be. Dude, get help.

Already go there for my Mich related needs. Have a membership. Also to the OSU site. My question was Rutgers related. I had hoped the information requested may be available here. It appears not.

You're the only one offended and overwhelmingly so.. I never insulted or put down anyone. You should open your mind to other peoples beliefs and opinions, surrounding yourself with people that just pat you on the ass and agree with everything isn't good. Being on various forums to see other perspectives and opinions is far from "pathetic".

Why are you so upset over it? Everything is related to Rutgers.

So you have not heard either?
Not puffing my chest I asked a simple question. Believe me in AZ where I live Rutgers does not get a lot of coverage.
Of course when asked a question, not answering and deflecting to another subject is what happens " because of insecurity" Now I'm being a jerk but you have to admit you earned it.
Sorry I don't know that you live in AZ. I didn't realize it was a per-requisite to engage in converation with you. And no I didn't earn it. You stated that it wasn't going to be a popular questions and I re-affirmed it.

In NJ, yes there has been plenty of talk about it. And I'm not deflecting-I'm stating a fact that the UM cronies have bombarded recruiting bloggers with the info about the camps because they want everyone to know how great they are doing in NJ. And I didn't say YOU puffed your chest-I said UM is puffing their chest. I don't think you, especially from AZ which I didn't know, again, were puffing your chest.

Hope Ash responds with Belichick and Coughlin. Would be another kick in the nuts to Harbaugh.

I believe I mentioned PSU's plans for a New Jersey camp earlier in this thread. Apparently the location has been finalized now, and it will take place at the Peddie School.

Peddie with one of the highest ratios of "thinking themselves too good for everyone" to "not actually all that" in the entire state. I can totally see them inviting psu to camp there.

Did no one at PSU ask if this was a good idea???

Can't say I'm surprised by the reaction here, but the camp is actually being hosted by Fordham, I believe, and will include Penn State coaches. Peddie has some pretty solid prospects in the next couple of classes, and it's helpful for kids in the extended area that this is the week after Harbaugh and Meyer are forcing so many to choose one camp or the other.

Camp Warz has got to be the stupidest and most inane development in college football yet. Thank God for baseball season.

I am actually one of the few that has moved way past the crimes that happened there and have many family members who have attended and graduated from PSU over the past couple of years. Most PSU people I meet are very embarrassed, hurt and upset over what happened but also ready to move on. The only thing that gets at me are the crazies who either try to defend that period and those involved and those that have completely swept it under the rug. Something as simple as having a camp associated with the Peddie School should just be something that PSU should be very aware of and that many people will put 2 and 2 together and make 3.
Obviously, it shouldnt stop PSU from recruiting the school as they do have very good prospects but just have some self awareness.

^^^ yup.

Complete lack of self awareness.

Might as well have the Miss America pageant sponsored by Bimbo Bread.

To be fair, it's only a "thing" if you're childish enough to make the connection and joke about it anonymously on a message board.

I guess PSU should never go after a recruit from Sandusky, OH either, right? Because some fan of another team will make lowbrow jokes on Twitter or a forum like this one. How can PSU not be more aware? The shame!

Ran this by a few folks in the office, one a Cal fan, one a guy who lives in Pennsylvania and not a big college football fan, and a Rutgers fan--the reaction was all the same, laughing out loud and saying something along the lines of "could they be more clueless?". These are all thirty or forty something year old men who are casual college football fans, well-educated and don't think much about your school and its past. Is your name Kay?

Give it a rest.

Regardless of who's to blame, PSU will forever be linked with child pedophilia.

It is what it is.

Thank you for conducting that in-depth study.

As stated, I am as far from childish when it comes to this as can be. I cringe every single time a poster refers to "Ped State" or brings it up why a kid shouldnt play football there...BUT, it was the very 1st thing that came to mind.

cheese- you would have so much more credibility if you could just say something like "yeah, that is lacking a bit of self awareness and opening the door to ridicule but at some point we do have to move on" instead of hiding your head in the sand and saying it is childish of other to point out the lack of self awareness. just saying

Here's the rest of PSU's camp schedule. I'll sign the ticket stub from the upcoming PSU-RU game of whoever finds the best connection to child abuse:

Sun., June 5 - Lauren’s First and Goal Camp, Easton, Pa.

Mon., June 13 - Ohio Satellite Camp with Bowling Green

Tues., June 14 - Charlotte Satellite Camp with Appalachian State

Wed., June 15 - New Jersey Satellite Camp with Fordham

Thurs., June 16 - Virginia Camp with Old Dominion and Syracuse

Mon., June 20 - DMV Satellite Camp

Tues., June 21 - Atlanta Satellite Camp with Georgia State

Disagree. The thought of hosting the camp at the Peddie School never crossed my mind as being an issue. It's a high school. To quote someone else a few posts back, it is what it is.

Vegas: You have what is called onion skin

Haha. If you think this is actually bothering me, like I'm going to think about it for one second outside of posting a few messages before my lunch break bothering me, you might be taking college football forums too seriously yourself.

Since I posted earlier on some info that PSU would be having a NJ camp, I figured I'd share the details since they were finalized. Had no plans to get involved in a discussion about how Peddie and pedophilia start with the same three letters. I hope the parents spending $40-$50k a year to send their sons to Peddie School are aware of that connection.

Actually, we all know it doesn't bother you. And a rational person wouldn't be "bothered" but they would understand why others would open their eyes.
And Peddie isn't the one who needs to change their name, it was named after a gentleman who donated 25 grand toward the school in the 1800's. I would assume if Sandusky had coached there instead of PSU, they would seriously consider it.

I would hope Peddie wouldn't change the name in that instance. No need to take that honor away from Mr. Peddie and his family because of some dopey comments a student might hear occasionally. The same people complaining on social media encouraging Peddie to do so would be the same PC bros calling Blake Lively racist for quoting a rap lyric on an Instagram post. Quite the world we live in. (But I digress, we can all move on with our day and look forward to college football season, rather than debate whether anyone should "open their eyes" about Penn State hosting a camp at a high school.)

Mr. Peddie didn't choose his name --- he was born with it.

PSU is voluntarily putting themselves in a situation where low brow humor is to be expected (unfortunately).

See: Miss America/Bimbo Bread analogy above
