Delgado and Carrington are excellent players. Hopefully, we can start recruiting players like that. Nice game to the SHU guys.

Never like losing to SHU but will be happy to watch this team play hard all season long.

Seton Hall 72 Rutgers 61 .Delgado and Carrington were the two best players on the court.Great effort by Rutgers .They need offensive scoring threats in the front court who can finish plays around the basket.Rutgers performance defensively reminds me of Pitt during the Big East days but they had far better inside players.

Was very impressed with Johnson's shot making. We were outclassed at the center position. Gettys is a nice bench player but not the real deal in terms of his offense.

Some very positive things to take from this game regarding the long term future for the program:

We are very well coached. We essentially went toe to toe on the road against a more talented and experienced team. The staff did a good job rotating players and keeping us poised;

Defensively we are good. Kids play extremely hard and did a very good job v a very good offensive team that has both inside and outside talent;

The downside is that we are a very bad offensive team. There is zero post game. There is only one (Williams), maybe two (Thiam), kids who can be legit and consistent outside shooters. The result is what we observed tonight - tons of unforced errors and an inability to get good shots on a consistent basis. We are left with too many wild drives to the rim and a haphazard approach to the offense. There is only so much the coaches can do with the material they have;

Disappointed with rebounding tonight. We can perform better. Let's see if adjustments are made. Will be a key to the season as strong defense and effective rebounding will be how we compete v better talent.

One final point - very nice game by Diallo. If the light has gone on for him that will be a nice plus and add to our defense and rebounding.

Anyone know what happened to Thiam? Was he sick or did he practice poorly?

Thiam could have helped tonight and perhaps in a key situation the ball bounced the other way. We will never know but hopefully we can get an update
