This is not a rumour (except the King Rice part). Eddie Jordan and Stringer ARE gone at season's end.
I doubt Hobbs even interviews King Rice--a fellow Carolina guy--because of the baggage, and he has
yet to win anything after 5 years at Monmouth.

Because coomon sense says it bs...coachs arent hired without an interview process and you better believe that any change at RU is going to be a public process after the season is done...please tell me who told you the wild rumour...anyone can say Rice may be a candidate its already been said here so what exactly did your source say that changes the game
A rumor is just that.... A rumor, a statement that may or not be fact based. Good to liven up the board on a Saturday afternoon. It is unlikely King Rice is the next coach if EJ is fired. I disagree that it will be a public process. It may be but the hiring of Chris Ash was kept well under raps.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pat Hobbs is talking with RU FB and BB boosters about funding a potential coaching change at the end of the season. But that's the only part of the rumor that I'd give any thought to.

Julie dealt with an issue that Tim didnt have balls to deal with...cvs salary was cut to 700k and I think contact was for 4 years..think this is 2nd but not sure. I also suspect julie nudged cvs in getting rid of all her assistants to save $. I agree that Hobbs is evaluating the situation with Mens hoops and making a short list but thats about as far as it is
King Rice has baggage larger than Mike Rice.....not a chance he gets a major job.
Can he win the MAAC first ? I agree his team is very good but how has he differentiated himself from Masiello? None of us know what translates to Rutgers because few win here
Exactly. This is Year 5. Seal the deal 1st. They have been very impressive. Wins in February and March are needed to validate year and program.
CVS has a senior laden team that just lost to an 11-5 Nebraska team on the road. Her recruiting the past few years has failed to land top 50 talent like she did in the past. We are not getting them maybe because top kids think she might not be around in a year or two. The era of us being a final 16 or 8 team is over.

He is under the radar at Monmouth. But don't think the usual dickheads will refrain from digging up his DUI (1997) or his arrest for Assault on female while at UNC (1990).
Monmouth gave him a chance and he proved himslf to be worthy, but the NJ media likes to eat eat it's own - with a side of rice!

Why would we fire CVS is because our women's program which was once a top program is now barely mediocre. Ob viously with that said many on the board would kill for that record for the men but it is an entirley different situation. If we played U Conn tomorrow we would lose by 40 points easily. there was a time when were able to beat U Conn and now we have just been slipping further and further into mediocrity. There comes a time when a coach has to retire and her time has come!!
Not saying he's telling truth or not, but BAC: Jordan has a contract too. Doesn't he's immune to a buyout. Same would apply to Strimger.
she has lost the desire she once had, time for her to take a step back and notice that she had a great career but as everything else all good things must come to an end
reading up on things, I am not so sure that CVS last two years are guaranteed. As for Jordan yes he can be bought out, my issue is that Rice is preordained as replacement. That's bollocks and any news is certainly not going to be broken at Monmouth in early January
