Interesting.

What is Hobbs going to talk about for an hour? Is he going to take call-in questions? Will listeners be able to ask about the Yankee Stadium game, or will discussion be limited to donating to the B1G Build Fund?

the radio show always takes questions from callers and they take questions from Twitter. You can Tweet a question to @RutgersRadio If you attend the show you can get up and ask a question in person.

Just walked in...

Yankee Stadium? Was is asked about? And more importantly was there an answer?

How do you listen tonight? Didn't see any link on scarletknights.com

Thanks,
Groz

Did Hobbs' credentials on his resume include being an AD at a Div-1 athletics department with football?

Weird to me that Maryland tickets at Yankee stadium are automatically included, but Wisconsin basketball tickets at MSG were not.

This is why fans unfortunately need to make a stand.

If people drop tickets or give up tickets, and DO NOT attend the game, an EMPTY stadium speaks volumes.

Those that feel the need to go to the wrestling match leave after the match also sends a message.

Also, those that choose to retain season tickets buy the CHEAPEST seat for Yankee Stadium.

The less revenue the better.

And this is not against the team or players, but as a fanbase a message need to be sent loud and clear.

After listening to the radio show, Hobbs has no idea what it is like there for a game - He's clueless.

NYC is not going to give a crap about Rutgers if they are not having winning seasons going to relevant bowls and making NCAA tournaments...thats the bottom line. Do that first, because no one is becoming a RU fan while the team is 4-8 or the hoops team is 14-18. Chasing some NYC dream for what...we are New Jersey.

Silly post. The guy is absolutely killing it as an AD so far. Yes, playing this game up there socks, no question, but aside from not changing the venue for this game the man is doing a phenomenal jobthus far, regardless of the fact that he wasn't an athletic director I had a D1 school with football, previously.

Hopefully, come next year after a sparse crowd at Yankee Stadium, he will realize that it wasn't the best of choices to stick with this game.

An empty stadium speaks volumes about our fan base lol. I'm sure many NYC alumni will go to this game and from my understand all polls suggesting poor attendance were done on this board or by NJ news papers with NJ responses.

The NYC game sucks for season ticket holders, and will impact sales, and I'm sure Hobbs thought about that when continuing the deal. Hobbs screwed us here, but, he's done everything else right - he clearly feels this is the right decision.

Time to stop the whining, suck it up and take one for the TEAM. Go to the game at Yankee stadium.
Yes, having to go to Yankee Stadium for a home game sucks.
But do you support the team, or do you support them only if it is convenient for you?
The team needs the fans support.
Think of how the team will feel if the stands are empty or there are no loud cheers. (Boy, we showed "them"--who is "them?")
Hobbs has said he did not make the deal, but he is honoring it. Too late to back out.
The front runners of our fanbase like to say we are NYC's team, and we mock Syracuse and UConn as not being NYC's team.
The front runners of our fanbase mock attendance of other teams at their regular season and bowl games.
How will it look if Yankee Stadium is half empty?
Rutgers is a member of the greatest collegiate athletics conference.
Think and act B1G, and not like small children.

Hobbs has been a fund raising machine but giving up a home game for Yankee Stadium is awful on so many levels. It's an awful decision. Please no more throwing out first pitches either.

Great, then I hope the fans enjoy a game there every year or every other year.

I won't be there and I know a majority won't either.

Also, by forcing season ticket holders to buy tickets for this venue speaks volumes.

If it was a great thing it should be an option and it would still be a sellout.

Hobbs is forcing people to by tickets to a venue the majority does not want to go to because he knows if it was an option very few would buy.
