Gorski didn't have it today. On the triple I think the left fielder, Callahan (?) might have lost the ball in the sun. I thought it should have been his ball. I feel horrible for Florence who pitched 8 plus innings and only gave up 3 hits. He was outstanding. At least we held on and won 5-4 in 10 innings. Hopefully we can score some runs tomorrow and get decent pitching.

according to d1baseball.com, probably the most repsected college baseball website there is, Maryalnd and Rutgers were both locks headed into the Big Ten tournament. Iowa is on the bubble. Everyone else has to win the BTT to get in
It just occurred to me that this was exactly like our basketball game against psu. Victory well in hand, a tournament berth potentially at stake, we blow the lead, they tie it up, but somehow we eke it out.
In tournament situations, which pitcher gets the win is pretty irrelevant. Everyone knows how geat Florence was today. And he and everyone else knows that he contributed to this win more than anybody
Kudos to Florence who deserved better. This team is pretty resilient. I think their place in the ncaa tournament is now secure.
Congrats on the successful season guys. At this point I don't think Rutgers has anything to worry about. They'll be playing next weekend.

Game 12 RU plays winner of game 10
If RU and Maryland both win on Saturday, they play for championship on Sunday. If either or both lose on Saturday, they play the same Saturday team on Sunday. Then that winner moves on to the Championship. So if RU wins on Saturday, they are in the Championship game.

seems like a few people here are having trouble grasping that concept. I've watched the tournament every year since Rutgers joined the league and its always been that way for as long as I've watched
