Basketball Rutgers Basketball fends off Minnesota 75-67 in OT

Minnesota is an odd team:

-- Beat Michigan, Oregon, @UCLA as well as @Nebraska

-- Yet lost at HOME to Penn St, a depleted NW, and Washington

-- Have a GREAT assist to turnover ratio at 1.5 (I mean that is really good) - each of their 7 players with the most minutes have more assists than turnovers ... which is unusually good.

-- Yet despite a terrific assist to turnover ratio PLUS assisting on an average of 60% of their made FG tries (RU is at 48%), still shoot a relatively poor 44% FG as a team. They do shoot 51% from 2-point range - RU shoots 50.8% from 2 point range, FYI.

-- Minny is a very poor FT shooting team, generally (like RU last year) - at 66% overall ... this despite their top 2 players in attempts are over 75% (Garcia and Patterson).

-- Like RU, they are star driven - in their case one major star in an outstanding Garcia ... plus they have one other consistent scorer averaging 12 ppg in Patterson

Just 2 teams with strange sets of inconsistent stat indicators - and generally poor records. FYI, Minny is 7-8 in Quad 1 games vs RU's 4-13, and Minny is 1-5 in Quad 2 games to RU's 4-1 ... So Minny is 8-13 in Quad 1 and 2 combined, while RU is 8-14 ... both teams are 0-2 vs Quad 3.

Check monitor to see foul yet no call. Minneapolis player kicks ball forward no kick ball call.
On replay, looks like the ball was tapped away first, and the shoulder contact to Williams' jaw was incidental. Don't think foot contact with a loose ball counts as a kicked ball, does it?

The RAC sounds like a game at PSU, it’s a morgue….don’t blame people, just making an observance

Based upon how we look, the lack of fire and how this game is going, hard time seeing a win today. They need a kick in the ass or someone subbed in and giving them life, they look checked out.
