His jumper is looking nice and smooth today26 for Derkack!
The players know without a healthy Dylan playing they are not going to win. Yet they continue to play hard. Says something.
Why do you need to be a college coach? I could coach a team with two lottery picks to a .500 record and my credentials are 8 years coaching my sons travel basketball team. What college coach couldn’t do what he’s done this year?
Obviously. Some of these comments are insanity and insulting to Dylan
On this team he's a starter, if for no other reasons he's the toughest kid on the team and a decent defender. He hustles. Thinks he’s 6’7 and in the NEC. Terrible decision maker. He’s a decent bench player and that’s all he’ll be at this level.
Like what.Obviously. Some of these comments are insanity and insulting to Dylan
Yeah but this testing the waters every single game with the flu and the ankle has to stop. Kudos to him for trying but he needs to Just Sit.That ankle roll was nauseating to watch. I’m surprised he even gave it a shot.
Calm down. He’s better at 50% than most of our guysYeah but this testing the waters every single game with the flu and the ankle has to stop. Kudos to him for trying but he needs to Just Sit.
We don’t have many good players based upon this definition, that’s for sureTo be a good player you need to consistently score or rebound or make assists or play tenacious effective defense. It’s hard to do. It’s what separates the good players from the pack.
He had an incredible game today and everyone will sing his praises (and rightfully so), but unless his decision making changes, there will continue to be more bad games than good. He needs to play within himself. On this team he's a starter, if for no other reasons he's the toughest kid on the team and a decent defender.
He's bad, but there have been some pretty bad offensive players here over the last 4 decades.Davis has to be the most offensively challenged player to ever suit up for RU
I think it says their coach let them down with this rosterThe players know without a healthy Dylan playing they are not going to win. Yet they continue to play hard. Says something.
Simpson 2.0Davis has to be the most offensively challenged player to ever suit up for RU
Bingo, 50/50 proposition based upon what this team has been, current lack of size and schedule that waits ahead. I think they finish bottom three.Going to be a nail biter just to make the B1G Tournament.
Yes. A closer loss. A healthy Dylan is amazing but Izzo adjusts. His players 3-10 are so much better to a man. The best we can do vs a good team is a close loss. We showed that with a healthy Dylan. The rest of the team isn’t good enough. We are down by 7. Of course a healthy Dylan would have made a big difference.
100% agree – – they could easily be 6–3 instead of 3–6 in the conference right now.You really can’t understate how Dylan’s health has impacted the season. Generational talent and he’s been out or a shell of himself for 6 games now
Think about it, with Dylan out, Pike was forced to give minutes to Jordan. Instead of putting JD in for 4 minutes and then substituting, i prior games JD was never able to get into the flow. MSU is no slouch and JD played tough, he deserves extended minutes to see if he can replicate this performance.Derkack unbelievable today.
Disagree. Talent wise, yes but he’s standing around most of the time doing nothing.Calm down. He’s better at 50% than most of our guys
Honestly who really cares?Going to be a nail biter just to make the B1G Tournament.
Bailey makes $$$ for RU bettors! What a shot.
He's now 12 games under .500 in nine years coaching a team that probably has won an average 7 out of their first 10 games every year against patsies - 32 games under .500 vs. Big 10 comp. Enough's enough. And don’t forget Pike’s been here 8 years, makes 3.2 million and we even won one game in the NCAA tournament once.
He would make a difference. He takes most of derkacks points and the box score looks differentHard to imagine the best offensive player in the country would make a 7 point difference. Fire Pike…
Anyone who has a game like this deserves more minutes the next game to see if they can keep it goingThink about it, with Dylan out, Pike was forced to give minutes to Jordan. Instead of putting JD in for 4 minutes and then substituting, i prior games JD was never able to get into the flow. MSU is no slouch and JD played tough, he deserves extended minutes to see if he can replicate this performance.
And every one a clean look at an important juncture. If he makes two of those, it’s a very different game down the stretch. He was recruited to make those shots, and he has done so in the past, but some are still blaming Pike.Shout out to Martini going 0-5 from 3 executing dry January
Serious question. Did you watch the last game?Once again - a shot that makes you go “wow”…but what else??? Not too much I can think of
But he made the tournament two of those years, so he’s a god. The bar is low here. He’s always compared to our prior loser coaches instead of the rest of college basketball. He's now 12 games under .500 in nine years coaching a team that should easily win 7 out of their first 10 games every year.
Because you dont have 2 draft picks out there taking 75-80% of shots and everyone else out there expected to just stay out of the way & not being able to play their game. His jumper is looking nice and smooth today
