It is harder to win at Rutgers. Post-Dobbs, it is borderline impossible until their is a salary cap.
This game and the Illinois game will remain big coulda shoulda wouldas but overall I had fun this season.

Rutgers Football collapsed in the second half and fell 44-41 to Kansas State in a high-scoring Rate Bowl in Phoenix.
Damn shame to be so dominant then lose. Proud of effort. Obviously State brought heat second half stopped Athan. Jammed the box and really outplayed our line in the gaps

This game wouldn't have been close if we just had a new fieldhouse. I also blame the lack of NIL $s for our failure to stop their running game. At least we were competitive and that really is a testament to Coach Schiano and his brilliant in-game coaching decisions.

Gave up 545 yards today and 685 yards in 2005... over 1,200 yards in two games at Chase Field. Ugh.

Well….just when basketball was totally sh$tting the bed and I was looking forward to football delivering, then football sh$ts the bed….maybe the pendulum will swing back and something positive now happens for basketball. There seems to be an inverse reaction thing going on between the two sports.

Overall, I enjoyed the season. Best QB play we have seen in many years. It is a shame he will be remembered here for folding up in the second half of the bowl game. But that's football for you.

The offense in second half was run up the middle on first down every time. Whatever creativity was on display in the first went right out the window
This game is reminiscent of so many Rutgers teams losing when they should have won easily.The problem is Rutgers teams simply can't play solid on both offense and defense for a whole game.In this game the defense stunk for most of the game but the offense dominated in the first half but didn't respond in the second half after Kansas State made quick touchdowns.The mens basketball team scores 82 points but allows Princeton to easily make the winning basket.

Agree, if he comes back and makes the catch I believe we would have held on to win. Game changing.
I think the KSU defense was doing a lot of stemming/shifting and OL became a clueless sieve.
The longer passes were lost to the rush and AK gets frantic.
Then with KSU defenders crashing in from all directions, RU is running the Siamese mesh still life.
