I've never really understood this part of football.

Pitchers get taken out early all the time and shake it off.
Goalies get taken out and shake it off.

Why are QBs so mentally unstable they can't possibly be taken out of a game?
Nova couldn't get taken out after 5ints?
Nobody is saying they don't start the next game. It doesn't have to be a huge issue.

Not relevant to this topic but it goes to backup QBs as well (more so NFL and not college). "Can't get a quality QB who might push the starting QB. It would cause problems."
