Very sloppy so far. Keep thinking the team with the better athletes will be able to prevail but they're digging themselves quite the hole
This is 2 in a row ... Really wanted to enjoy a 2nd week at #1... Still time and need to see what happens.
Same feeling for me. We need to establish a culture of winning as a university, because we don't yet know how to play with a lead within games (think: men's basketball) or hold a solid ranking. Maybe we come back and win this game, but down 7-1 is gonna require some deep digging and adjustments.
The Blue Hens keeper is having the game of his life. Kid is literally standing on his head today. RU is showing more signs of life, but needs goals.
I see we have a bunch of front runner posters who seem to like to dwell on negatives. Same guys all of the time. This game isn't over by far. Try to be more encouraging like the post that tells us the Delaware goalkeeper has had the game of his life so far. We'll get to him. If not then it just may be one of those days.
Yep I agree. I mean even Ohio State football lost 31-0 in the playoff so it happens to the best in every sport. But it is just a 5 goal game that is not insurmountable by any means. We have a good coach he will make the adjustments and if they don't quite get it so be it we move on to B1G play. I was scared about this game you knew UD was going to bring their best and they have but if we go on a run here might Ice their goalie so lets see
Keep the faith. I recall last year vs Penn State how we overcame an early deficit and won. It can happen very quickly in lacrosse.

Oh well ... Better to lose today than in the B1G ... Still cool to be #1 while it lasted ... Now time to win the B1G.
Onto the B1G schedule. Go 5-0 and we will be #1 heading into the tournament. We still control our own destiny
Well, on the negative side, a bad WTF loss after an almost bad WTF performance against NJIT. On the positive side, the WTF followed by a WTF game hopefully shakes the team up so that they know they control their own destiny as far as the NCAA tourney goes. Learning experience for the boys.
The positive is no one got hurt ... pressure of being undefeated is gone to ... Hopkins having a down year, so good chance in that game.
No reason why it should not be. Team now should understand they have a lot of work ahead of them.
I live in Newark De. Lots of PSU fans here in addition to UD. During the disastrous FB & BB seasons I stopped flying my flag took the magnet off my car and put my clothes away. So today back up went the flag the magnet and sweats and off I went to watch my alma mater beat my son' s. What a joke ! Will we ever be extremely successful at ANYTHING. Got to put my stuff away before my neighbors make comments. I can't. stand the humiliation any more. It just SUCKS to be. RUTGERS fan anywhere but NJ
Wife & I went to game. They were beaten all over the field. No 1 was in their head. They played tight. Before the game Brecht had to get in their grills & tell them that they weren't No 1. The only standing that mattered was at the end of the year. Forget numbers, just go down there & beat the hell out of Delaware. It had to be drilled into their heads. Well they don't have to think about it anymore. Just go down & beat the p#ss out of Hopkins. One game at a time boys.
Like I said earlier we have the same front runners who just love to be critics and overall contribute nothing positive. We have an entire B1G schedule ahead of us. Every game will be tough. The goal is to be #1 in the B1G and to be successful in the NCAA Playoffs. 'Nuff said.
Wow. You're a loser & terrible fan. If you're an alum, then mail back your diploma & root for another school. I never stop wearing my Rutgers gear or displaying my magnets, helmets, flags, etc. Have some fukn pride.
You need to get a grip man. I proudly where my Rutgers red in southern California and win or lose I will always continue to wear my Rutgers gear, because I'm a proud alum. I didn't go to Rutgers because of sports. I went because they had the best program for me. Sports and following sports is just in addition to being a Rutgers alum, and I'm proud of us and believe we will be turning a corner fairly soon now that we look to be investing properly in our sports teams.
