This is wrong imo. This game is like Oregon.. opponent got very hot, team gave up when the game was out of reach. Not ideal. But they gave effort in the first half. Has nothing to do with the Michigan game, it’s just who this team is

I’m not talking game speed. These are not game speed imo. They are wide open. 80’is probably a strech. Minimum 70%.
Who's our best guard defender? Is Jmac, Jwilil, or Derkak in Smith's shorts? No. They may not be elite but the coach didn't give that a shot.
Foul the crap out of him? Anything.. that's coaching.

We are now guaranteed to finish with at best the same (15-16) or worse record than last year’s team. Last year’s team really blew…..or so I thought at the time, I didn’t see this year’s team coming right around the corner

Well, we're going to find out next year if Pike can assemble a team more like his past ones with hard-working guys willing to defend and play together as a team and maybe even take a charge or two. Will probably be offensively challenged again, but better on D. Can he get us back to 2020-21 level in a year or two? I have no idea.
Why is Pike burying 2 important pieces for next year (Sommerville and Grant)

Biggest difference tonight, other than shooting is hustle - we simply haven't been hustling, especially on D, and they have.

This year is far worse IMO.
It’s not the talking point about two young studs and being bad, it’s the fact that this team was built.
That’s what’s so crazy to me. Even watching it as a fan in the offseason, the additions were extremely underwhelming.
I have absolutely no clue how Pike could think this roster would compete in the B1G. It’s not even close.
And the 5 spot, don’t even get me started on that.
