Ineligible as the worst. Includes a TD. Against BC and Temple total passing touchdowns =ZEROHere’s an easy one, though sanu saved the day

Actually, Vedral would find a way to be 0-10 in the next 9 games. But as long as no INTs, Schiano would be more than satisfied.
Same old $hit from Shelby65And Schiano was proud of it. No INTs. To him, a masterpiece.
I guess it could've been worse, as many of us unfortunately remember....Let those numbers sink in.
Has to be Rutgers worst performance since the invention of the forward pass.
Spot on AZ. This is not a Schiano phenomenon. The passing attack under ash was just as terrible and he went through multiple coordinators. It’s a talent thing, not a scheme thing.I guess it could've been worse, as many of us unfortunately remember....
2018- Maryland 34, Rutgers 7
2/17 passing for 8 yards, 5 interceptions... Average of 16.9 inches per attempt, and we threw more than twice as many completions to the other team than to our guys....
2019- Indiana 35, Rutgers 0
5/13 passing for 1 yard, for an average of 2.76 inches per attempt....
Happened under Flood. Under Flood, when it was 3rd down with 7-9 yards to make first down, we would run the ball. I said that Flood wanted us to win with the defense even though he came from the offensive side of the game.Spot on AZ. This is not a Schiano phenomenon. AZ … cruel to cite passing in inches. Let’s go with centimeters. Numbers are twice as large. Sounds better that wayI guess it could've been worse, as many of us unfortunately remember....

Yesterday Temple with a freshman QB and a new coach had a TD pass--against US--but we couldn't do the same to them 3 years in. And we have fans demanding more time time time. You can't get a single offensive TD against Temple you've got a problem. Look for more beatdowns coming. Our last passing Touchdown (not including Wagner) was October 21, 2021.
In the 21-7 loss to Northwestern.
That is 8 games without a passing TD.
If we haven't recruited the talent for even a garbage time passing TD in 8 games that's a little shocking.
I'm sure someone will point out we are 4-4 in that time period:
We beat Illinois (5-7, 4-5) Indiana (2-10, 0-9), BC (1-2) and Temple (1-2).
So one good win (Indiana).
We were also blown out by Wisconsin (+49pts), PSU (+28), Maryland (+24) and Wake Forest (+28)
Where is our Warner? Why can’t we recruit a single QB that looks like he has swagger. Other than Wimsatt’s first pass vs Illinois he’s shown us nothing with his arm. Looks like another recruiting swing and miss by the staff. But then again a pass play interception may have cost them the game.
And we dropped a second that could have been another.
I did think Warner looked very good.

I was more upset with the play calling. I thought the Simon passes to the middle of the field were fine. Still surprised none to the middle or the tight end like Temple’s TD.
None in the flat or WRs in motion. No crossing routes. Those outside throws were tough passes that many NFL QBs can’t make.
On a positive note, no interceptions.
There are - but until an already bad OL became markedly worse following the Sutton and ONeal injuries, NV had the green light to throw last year. When he returns I’d expect to see more pass plays in line with the first part of last season.💤
We’re not at practice and Simon sure didn’t look great on the throws he attempted yesterday. Gavin couldn’t throw against Wagner so…. Let’s see what the offense looks like with NV.
Game planning.Similarly, are other team's QBs smarter, more intuitive, or is it the game planning?
Middle of the field passing is risky. Passes to the sideline are more risk adverse. There's a recurring pattern here with the play calling.I was more upset with the play calling. I think Schiano must've had a traumatic experience one day while playing Pop Warner football--or flag football--where his team lost on a turnover and it left him obsessively afraid of turnovers for the rest of his life.Middle of the field passing is risky. I agree 100% that most power 5 schools recruits , 2 quality 4 stars plus if they can, every year. When we recruited Winsatt, we must have promised him he was our QB and didn’t recruit anyone for next couple of years. Maybe the only way he was coming here. The reality is that we do not have on this roster a quarterback who has even remotely demonstrated the ability to perform in an FBS game, let alone a power five game, let alone a big 10 game. And apparently Gleeson recognizes this and that’s why there were so few downfield passes that our QBs were allowed to throw even against Temple. Iowa has an excellent pass defense. Next Saturday has all the makings of a very disappointing game.
Most power five schools recruit at least one and often two quality quarterbacks a year. We rarely recruit one QB a year who had multiple top P5 offers.. And unlike other teams (Pitt’s quarterback last year is a great example), we don’t develop most of the quarterbacks that we do recruit.
Look what Temple’s unrecruited true freshman quarterback did in his first start against our supposed Big Ten level defense. Compare and contrast.
Game planning.
That offense can be run by a Pop Warner football team. It was the most risk adverse offense I have yet to see. Next up would be to not throw the ball at all. There was no imagination or misdirection, it's as basic as you can get. Either our offensive players are functioning idiots or they're holding back in order to be rick adverse.
Agree re Wimsatt - but getting Wimsatt is the exception. We rarely get highly recruited quarterbacks and most of those years where we don’t we only are able to recruit a single quarterback.I agree 100% that most power 5 schools recruits , 2 quality 4 stars plus if they can, every year. Each time I read your posts out of curiosity from the angry reactions of others (since I have you on ignore), I’m reminded I’m never sure what distinguishes a sociopath from a psychopath, because you choose to be here at all.Actually, Vedral would find a way to be 0-10 in the next 9 games. Simon QBR 42.0
Wimsatt QBR 1.5

Well, as the man said...only 3 things can happen when you throw and two of them are bad.
Nothing worse than an ill-executed forward pass. It can make a person throat-punching-angry.
