Sanders Entering Draft

just as a point of reference, Melo Trimble, who I think we'd all agree is awesome, is projected as mid to late 2nd round and some say will not be drafted

Sanders announced via Twitter that he will put his name in the Draft, but will not hire an agent (leaving him the possibility to come back to school).
He might be a better PRO player at this stage than at the college level. He needs to improve in a few areas if he really wants to become a complete player. Now it could've been a case of trying to do too much on a team that didn't play very well, but I think HE actually thinks he is better and further along than he is. If he comes back to RU, it has to be with a different mindset. We'll know soon
enough and then it will be up to the coaches to fix it. It's still up to him to move forward.

RUsince52--
If he thinks he has a shot this year, he is delusional. How would you compare him to Douby as a freshman? And you know Douby would have gone if he thought he would be drafted. The kid has a ton of things to work on, and even then, no sure thing. But it costs him nothing to check, though it might be a little deflating. Doesn't matter that he didn't have much around him-the speed and strength of the guys he will face in scrimmages might be overwhelming.

Exactly. If he really wants to know how he is being rated at this point, than this is an avenue available to him and makes sense. Definitely not ready, but his money is there and a degree is a means to an end !

Interesting...

I dont like to hear this that he is unhappy about being in the weight room

Whatever.. He's here for one more year at most and he won't see the postseason here. We've got to get kids who want to be here. It's his choice.

New Right, Bac... because nobody in the NBA works out and has rock hard bodies. Corey needs to realize he isn't ready physically or emotionally for the NBA

There is no truth to the rumor that Corey is complaining about the S&C program. The poster who started the rumor is trying to project an image of Corey showing a lack of dedication, a lack of interest in the program, and a poor work ethic. None of which is true.

Time and time again Corey displays his love of Rutgers publicly in both verbal and written forms. Only posters on this board state otherwise.
