Schiano to Alabama?

Noooo, not now. Just read a Bleacher report article about 2006 when 'Bama was trying to get Saban. Timing made it difficult for Alabama because Saban wouldn't talk to them till Dolphins were done for the season (4 weeks). AD felt he could not get a coach as good as Rodriguez or Schiano if he waited and Saban said no.

Any ideas on the college landscape if Schiano went to Bama? Who might have come to RU?

honestly, if RU had come knocking before ND in 2005, I think Charlie Weis would have come here......but you're asking about 06. Al golden would have come here before temple.

Never know if that's right or if with the money Bama could afford to pay his assistants, Greg's gameday coaching might not have hurt him being successful there.
That said, I don't think Greg was ready to put someone to be in complete control of the offensive and game day play calling which would have been his downfall there after a couple of years.

Golden was already at Temple at this point.

Anyway, Rutgers would have done it cheap and promoted Rizzi.
