The above stats are the first 4 games of the season (Purdue is not included) are very untypical for a number #2 team in the nation. The fact that most categories Rutgers is actually better than MSU should tell you this team is not a top 10 team in the nation. They also lost Left OT and his back up. Have watched MSU-Purdue it was more of Purdue losing the game rather MSU winning the game. Case in point, MSU got 14 points on two turnovers by Purdue. The one drive MSU had the whole game for a TD was assisted by a major 15 yard penalty. Purdue also ran on this team they have given 157 yards on the ground with less talented RB. Announcers also spoke of their pass D being weak, I saw more missed passes by Purdue’s QB and drops by receivers. Purdue’s QB was <50% completion. If Rutgers does not commit turnover and reduce penalties at least in half we have a great chance of beating this team. Having scanned the stats every time I looked for MSU, I found Michigan way ahead of either us or MSU. If we do not beat MSU this week I promise you Michigan will beat MSU on the 17th. And you can bet MSU is looking past us to Michigan, great trap game and if there is a 17 point spread, there is no reason to believe MSU will get up for Rutgers!
