The RAC magic has been long gone. We might as well be comfortable watching future games.
We just haven't been good the last 3 years. It does feel like the magic is gone...even in our wins like psu and shu it was meh
That’s on this iteration of the team. Not us fans, not the building. The magic is still there to be hadIt does feel like the magic is gone...even in our wins like psu and shu it was meh
We were good two years ago! In fact we were having our best season through the MSG game when Mag went down. But we had 5 conference wins away from the RAC. We weren't the dominant home team as much anymore. We just haven't been good the last 3 years.
Gymnastics. If it were the soccer coach - either one - we'd be having a very different conversation lol!We were just talking about expanding the RAC a year ago.. Then our AD got preoccupied with the soccer coach and the basketball team became a massive bust. It would be so Rutgers to proceed with it and raise ticket prices…lol
Or was it the dance appreciation professor?Gymnastics. If it were the soccer coach - either one - we'd be having a very different conversation lol!
Oops my bad, Thanks . Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 😀Gymnastics. If it were the soccer coach - either one - we'd be having a very different conversation lol!
Place is gonna be empty soon there will be no ground swell for any significant changes to arena.
The RAC magic has been long gone. We might as well be comfortable watching future games.
Oh no...absolutely not!Oops my bad, Thanks . Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 😀
I’ll give you that burning speaker from the roof of the RAC when you pry it from my cold dead hands! Viva La RAC!!!!The RAC magic has been long gone. We might as well be comfortable watching future games.
People are just turned off with the whole shady NIL crap.It does feel like the magic is gone...even in our wins like psu and shu it was meh
People attacking/wanting to get rid of the RAC is crazy. It is the best and most consistent thing about this program. Winning/Being competitive makes RAC Magic happen, and that part has been failing miserably lately. Looking at the past 30 year study PLUS chances of our near future success in the next few years in no way equals a 12K-15K arena. Bottom line you NEED to keep some of the cool, unique and very definable things about a program/university. We should have found a way to keep the grease trucks, just as we should find a way to keep this grease truck of an arena called The RAC - it is awesome, has character and needs to stay!So much wrong with this thread. Build a cavern arena and end up like Penn State, zero atmosphere and a long forgotten program. Even in our worst years over 30 NCAA misses at least we got some fun upsets thanks to the RAC. The team cannot generate 2 consecutive stops, that’s why the RAC was quiet. It’s the players, arena has nothing to do with it
The majority, yupPeople are just turned off with the whole shady NIL crap.
Elaborate… opinion, heard from a birdie, first hand knowledge? You’ll get your wish.. they are
Way less shady now. Everything is reported and taxed. Before a handful of schools would pay big bucks under the table. It’s definitely more of a business which I could see as a turn off.People are just turned off with the whole shady NIL crap.
Love you nuts, but nobody gives a shit about it when it’s working out, its only a talking point when things aren’t going as plannedThe majority, yup
OSU too. They yearn for old arena. So much wrong with this thread. Build a cavern arena and end up like Penn State, zero atmosphere and a long forgotten program. All good man, and I get it, but MOST people I speak can not stand NIL/portal AS they are currently setup. The original intent of NIL has been blown up in smoke as this is nothing whatsoever but "pay-for-play." I don't know anybody who had/has any issue with "NIL" itself, as intented.Love you nuts, but nobody gives a shit about it when it’s working out, its only a talking point when things aren’t going as planned
We don’t get Ace or Dylan without it
And if we actually had a competent coaching staff (I’ve been very supportive of Pike, but this year is completely unacceptable on every imaginable metric ) and supporting cast to make a deep run into the NCAA, literally nobody would care about NIL
Agreee except only thing I’d add is building a large front lobby that’s at least 3x the size of the current walkway. This will ease congestion in the narrow side walkways too.I see many riding the short bus ITT
The RAC is a top 10 home court advantage in college basketball when our team plays defense.
Stop being emotional.
Hard pass on spending 9 figures on a big arena so we can have tarps on the upper decks like Seton Hall.
Add bathrooms, put seats where 118 and the offices are and leave the rest alone for the most part. Thats all we need to do.
