You can get by with bad grammar if you're an otherwise effective communicator.

If you can manage people or explain complicated things clearly and concisely, you'll do well regardless.

NOTHING is worse than "they should have went for it" - which about 80% of the announcers on TV and radio both say. Nails on a chalkboard.

God, you guys are worse than I am! (I used to be Englishcop on another board, and would explain things like the difference between "affect" and "effect.") Fortunately, I've become older and wiser. I only object when a post is unintelligible, which is rare.

"Well Golly Miss Molly"

Just doesn't have the same ring to it.

We were expected to beat MS convincingly and did. But if it had been a slightly closer game, then it would've been something like; Well well, we could've played a better game, but it was still good enough to win.
This was a must win rather than a good win.

your/you're
to/too/two
there/their/they're

Always get a chuckle when someone posts "Your stupid"

Using "your" when they mean "you are" is the most frequent error
on these boards.
So what's wrong with "your stupid"? It's just an incomplete remark,as in "your stupid brother ate all the ice cream".
