Really depends on the year and if there is a coach or team that I like . When it comes to rooting against that's another matter. I root against Saban and usually Ohio state or Michigan depending on the year . Always root against penn state .
I root against notre dame nowadaways because I dislike Kelly. Oddly though I do respect notre dame in the sense they don't admit just any dumb jock. So I wound up rooting for them in the Davie, willingham years because back then they had some standards.

I am losing interest in football.

College: expansion is creating a greater divide among the haves and have nots. Watching the Ville rise when we used to beat them really upsets me. Along with Mich and PSU when we had the opportunity to jump all over them and of course, we pulled a Rutgers.

Pro's: Its always been about the money. Now the NFL doesn't even hide it.

I need to find a way to snap out of this.

OSU grad who grew up a Rutgers fan since my dad went there and I was born in Jersey, but moved throughout my life and ended up in Ohio. In-state tuition & a scholarship with OSU made it an easy decision between RU and OSU unfortunately but zero regrets.

Outside of that a Browns and Giants fan in the NFL.
Yankees and Indians for MLB
Cavs for NBA
Blue Jackets for NHL
You get the geographic trend here...

Hackettstown HS (my alma mater and where I played), Cedar Grove HS (where I have lived for the last 20 years). The High Schools of our commits. Most underdogs. The Giants/Jets/Yankees/Knicks/Devils. US National teams.

Agreed with the comment "depends on the year". Some of my favorite teams of all time have been college teams that captured the magic:

1) 2008 Texas Tech
2) 2007 Hawaii
3) 2012-2013 Texas A&M
4) 2011 Baylor (RG3 team)
5) 2011 Wisconsin (russel wilson)
6) 2006 Arkansas (peyton hillis, Felix jones, Darren McFadden in 1 backfield)
7) 2007 Missouri and Kansas

Washington State, Ohio State, Colts, Seahawks, Giants, Dodgers, and Mets. Whoever is playing Notre Dame, Cowboys, or Yankees.

I have always been a Fresno fan. I also root for Pitt and Alabama because I have kids that play for them.

Reactions: Southern Gentleman
Wisconsin, Washington, Ohio State (when we're not playing any of them obviously). And Western Michigan! My high school band director marched in their band. Finally they are having a good season.

In FCS, I am a Montana fan. I've been to their stadium and I love it.

ASU is #2 in all sports

for football
ACC : Clemson
AAC: SMU (remember the Pony Express )
Big 12: Mountaineers
SEC : LSU ( from the Chinese Bandit days)

Clemson. Kind of hard not to living in Greenville. Though it was fun watching Rutgers basketball come down here to pull the upset on them two years ago. Actually applied and got into Clemson, but chose to stay home instead.

Pros: Steelers.

Probably WVU since a few of my friends went to school there.

Before I went to Rutgers, I was never a huge college football fan, but I grew up in Cape May county and although most people down there prefer pro football over college, the ones that followed college ball usually rooted for penn st, so I would root for them. Things have changed a lot though as my opinions of the penn st fan base diminished a lot and I can't stand their holier than thou attitude. They actually look down on us as if they walk on water and are better people. I can't stand them now and actively root against them.

Army

Whoever is playing Cuse

Whoever is playing UCONN

Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Cornell ... I'm ready for your insults and abuse :) but I am a season ticket holder for only Rutgers !

Besides Rutgers: UCLA (my son played baseball there) and Univ. of Oregon (since we bought a second home near Eugene several years ago). Oh, and Arsenal: Go Gunners.
