RU is currently tied for 6th.
Both the 5th and 6th seeds face lower seeds on the Thursday of the tournament, so assume they are both winners.
Then on Friday, the 6th seed will likely face Iowa, the 5th will likely face Indiana. IMO, Indiana is a hard, but still easier choice than Iowa.
The road to a 5th seed is through Ohio State. We are a couple of games behind them in the standings, but they have, I think, only one win against a top tier team (Indiana) and have Rutgers, Northwestern, and Purdue (to whom they've already lost once this year) still ahead.
In other words, it's time to come and cheer hard tomorrow.
