THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-OHIO STATE PREDICTION THREAD

BAC - I encourage you and FIG to keep posting predictions and analysis. But for me, this team defies my expectation (good or bad) just about every game. So I add no value by making a prediction. I guess the good news is that I'm leaning towards thinking we're going to lose.

Assuming loss every game from here on out, and will hope to be pleasantly surprised/shocked by a W.

Another home game which is a must win for a winning season because of the two losses to Stony Brook/Hartford.To win it must be a game similar to Seton Hall where Rutgers has multiple scoring spurts to overcome Ohio State talent advantage.Crowd must be loud and hopefully students will show up on a Sunday night.

Rutgers 70 Ohio State 68

I too am terrible at predicting games, but I'll give it a whirl.

OSU 70
RU 65

in front of 6,284 (students will be in force, as they are back from break this weekend).

I just think OSU is riding high right now, and they can light it up from 3-point range. Bates-Diop will be a bear to contain.

Looking at what they just did to Maryland, not a good ending. Hoping we can show the same kind of spunk we did last game and keep it reasonable.

I have zero confidence in my prediction here.

Is Ohio State as good as they appear? probably not
Will they remember the game in the B1G tournament and want revenge ? probably not a factor
Will they take us lightly? maybe

I predict Duke will get 2 fouls
Doorson will play
Bullock will NOT
Souf will play
Souf won't hit a 3

Ohio State 69
Rutgers 61

We are in the game the entire way, yet you never think we are going to win.

Piscataway, Doorson showed some stuff versus MSU. Against Wesson, he will get someone who is similar to him.

Sanders- Jackson
Baker- Williams
Omoyuri- Tate
Freeman- Diap
Wesson- Doorson

RU-73
OSU-72

OSU can play a little sloppy sometimes, with Diap, Jackson, and Tate turning the ball over. Wesson and Tate can foul. I would go after them, and drive as much as possible. RU has gotten a little bit too comfortable with shooting jumpers. Sa, Doucoure, etc. They have to generate confidence by getting closer shots, then go from there.

Bring a friend and PAC the RAC. I will be there with 4 others.

RRRRR

OSU plays well on the road. 4 losses at home include maulings by Gonzaga and Clemson. A sound loss to North Carolina and an OT loss to Butler. Lately they are hot. They put it on to Maryland and Michigan State....again, on the road. We play well at home and this could still be a catch game for them. We grind. If we make shots late...we win. If we don't we lose. When the win they score 80-90 points. When they lose they score 50 or 60. Defense has to win this game 63-59.

Heyhuey, Ohio State has only lost one home game to Clemson. They lost to Gonzaga & Butler in Oregon. They lost to North Carolina in New Orleans, They beat both Michigan State and Maryland and Michigan all at home in Columbus. I don't know what schedule you were looking at.

I did predict us to beat Wisconsin by 3 and we won by 4. Somehow I think we just might win again. I will go with:

RU 71 Ohio State 68.

I looked at ESPN's schedule...but they just have "vs" and "@" I assumed the one's not "@" were home games. Good catch. Thanx

I’m revising my attendance prediction. I looked at the ticket seating chart on sk.com, and ticket sales are very good for this game, with the 200 level basically sold out, and about 2/3rds of the 300 level sold out.

If the students show up (which they should, since they’re back on campus today), we should have 7,000 plus.

So I will predict 7,453.
