This team is so reminiscent of the 2010 team

all I keep thinking is how bad our OL was that year when we had Sanu running the wildcat. We had zero OL and had to put Antwan lowery in the backfield to block. We lost to Tulane that year and lost 69-38 to Cincinnati. We barely beat FIU.

Only difference is this year the teams we are facing are that much better and we have no Sanu or anyone with NFL talent to be honest.

It's all about recruiting and I have faith in this staff just like I did when schiano got new recruiters after that season (Hafley joined in 2011)

They lost to Tulane and barely beat FIU and UConn (missed fg if I really correctly) before he got hurt. OL was a disaster. Art Forst was this years muller and denman - 4 stars but not good on the field.

Yep - and the guy who coached them became HC. Not many places where a guy can be part of setting D1 sacks allowed record and become HC

Similar situation. KC was not inept but didn't have the players or time to implement his system. Currently him and fleck are rolling at Western Michigan. Systems take time to install and we don't have the athletes to mask it. See UW and peterson. Took him with a roster full of talent and as a proven head coach 3-4 years. May take RU 4-5 as we are talent deficient and unproven.

You are very right. I heard Fleck interviewed last weekend. I believe Fleck was 1-11 his first year and now look where they are. He like Ash said the first year is spent changing the culture and the second year becoming competitive.
