I will be living temporarily in Howell and ,of course, the most important thing when you move is to find good pizza places. Anyone familiar with pizza places in Howell ? Thanks.

Rube, I went to Federicis in Howell about four or five years ago. It wasn't horrible like Papa John's,but I don't remember it being very good. Went to one called Red Moon and it was a little better, but not much. There is one in Farmingdale which is good, but it would be a decent drive and be cold by the time I got home.
There are two pizza places in Farmingdale, Brunos and Tonys. Brunos is NOT good just large slices. Tonys is above average. But Federicis or Frankie Feds in Freehold blow them both away. The pizza at Mulligans is meh imo and no better than the CabinRube, I went to Federicis in Howell about four or five years ago. Howell is a big town. Are you on the Howellbama side (near Bricktucky) , or on the "good" side?
I actually prefer the Howellbama section--really.lol. The more exclusive part has a Freehold address and is zoned for Colts Neck HS (and home prices to match). The area you reference is called Ramtown. But I still got your point.
Anyone else waiting for the obligatory "Not Howell but I know a great place in Bangor, Maine" post.
How is Gee's Gee's Pizza nowadays? I used to live on Gee Gee's from age 13-18.
Don't know other than it's really expensive. I'm a Squan Tavern guy. Have been out of Squan since April so no getting food at the beach this summer. Was going to lift my house but the town has made it so difficult I'm moving back in 2 weeks without having it done. Have to go thru hearings and variances now. Big Mess.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you have a good attorney. Some of the nonsense they put people through is unbelievable. We left our rental house in Belmar where it was. We had 1" of water in the first first floor. The problem on our block was Lake Como taking over our neighborhood. The are putting outfall pipes and pumps in Lake Como, so we will roll the dice. Can't see a storm worse than Sandy in my lifetime.
No ... just no. :mad:Used to live in Howell, work in Freehold. Red Moon is where all the Candlewood/Monmouth Ridings people would get their PIES from. Buddy of mine from Ramtown swears by Tonys in Farmingdale. I agree with Solo Bella for brick oven. One of her sons opened Solo Tu on 9 North it's not brick oven, so I don't think it's as good. For those of you unfamiliar with Federicis pizzas (disclaimer I am personal friends) they are very good, HOWEVER it is very thin crust. Think of pizza on a matzoh. Knightfan yes Gee Gees is very large now nothing to brag about the kids love it though because they eat very cheaply on the beach. Squan Tavern is the choice for our crew as well.
Ha I was paying attention just didn't respond to your nonsense lol. Anything outside of the Northeast, especially in the Midwest or Left Coast shouldn't even be considered pizza. More like cardboard or rubber with toppings like tacos (Happy Joes in Iowa or Pineapple/Canadian bacon) CA. My Italian restaurant owning Grandparents would be turning over in their graves. No ... just no.

I'll have to give that a shot. Been thinking about it. I'm right down New Friendship from thereWe're in Southern Howell westside of Rt. 9. I don't have any good suggestions for Pizza. But the new Japanese Hibachi Place believe it's called Naygu in the Shoprite/Hobby Lobby plaza has great sushi and the Hibachi(they cook it in the kitchen) was quite tender and tasty. I highly recommend you try it.
The cooked specialty rolls are really good. Reasonably priced for a Japanese restaurant(I personally think they're all pricey). Service is a little slow(probably because they're brand new) so be prepared. But overall a good experience, much better than all those chain restaurants we have. We desperately need more mom and pop restaurants in Howell.I'll have to give that a shot. Been thinking about it. I'm right down New Friendship from there
No sir, down in Howell. You're not too terribly far from me, I'm down the road from the Best Buy on 9VWKnight, I thought you lived in East Brunswick.--I will be off of Aldrich Road very close to the Manasquan reservoir.
We settled on this place as well. We're down off of Kent. past the WaWa. Like you said it's OK and consistent but not great. Calzone's are OK same with sandwiches, but everything else I would not recommend.I've tried most of the spots in Howell. Used to live in Old Bridge (the central Jersey Mecca of Pizza) and unfortunately Howell is nowhere near as good. Krispy Pizza on the border of Howell & Freehold is awesome but not sure if they deliver down by Aldrich.
We've settled on Caprici Pizza as our go to spot. It's located in the shopping center across from Shop Rite on Rt 9 in the back corner behind the Sonic. Pretty consistent pizza and good salads. Reasonably priced as well. Also easily accessible since it's at a major intersection.
Federicis is great if you like dry thin pizza that tastes like cardboard. Red Moon is mediocre. The places next to buy rite and the Dunkin' Donuts by Walmart are good if you don't mind getting the runs quickly after eating. Haven't tried the farmingdale stuff as it's too far away.
