We are now ranked 301! (307 as of 2/29/16)

It wasn't a pathetic hire, it was best available willing to come here for peanuts and no support. The AD's hands were somewhat tied at the time.

Our President finally worke up and decided to give athletics some attention and support. That will give us more options this time around if or when Eddie is let go.

he said panic...not pathetic

look, at the time, I was supportive of the hire simply to try and calm the total maelstrom that was surrounding the program. a close friend of mine (huge Philly sports fan) said at the time "This guy is the worst coach...you guys are going to regret this"...to which I replied...we're at rock bottom, he cant do much worse

Holy crap was I wrong

Good man, bad fit. it's that simple. we need to move on.

There was no AD, which in and of itself supports the RU moved rashly and without a qualified person to make the hire.
Yeah I forgot about that until after I posted...Kirchner hired Eddie. But I stand behind the rest of what I posted; Barchi is supporting athletics more than he was at that time; hopefullly that means that whenever Eddie is let go we can bring in someone with any form of a pedigree.

Not all bad press for Eddie:
>After inheriting a Wizards team that posted a losing record in five straight seasons, Jordan was able to guide the 2004-05 Wizards to their highest win total in 25 years in just his second season, while giving Washington its first playoff berth since 1997 and advancing past the first round for the first time since 1982. Jordan’s Wizards made four straight playoff appearances from 2004-05 through 2007-08; prior to his arrival, Washington made the playoffs just once over a 16-year span. With the Princeton Offense installed, Jordan’s Wizards ranked sixth in the league in scoring in 2004-05, third in 2005-06 and fourth in 2006-07. <
