Usually, I don't let my support for Rutgers football cloud my analysis when making small bets. Friend of mine, Jim, has been coming over to watch Rutgers games ever since we could get them on, tv, computer. Almost always, $10.00, $20.00, but sometimes more. I could always get a few points out of him by just saying ,"Nova". Jim started in the defensive backfield in college. We usually get to one or two games a year. Maybe this year I shot myself in the ass.

Before the year started I bet:
Rutgers would win 3 out of 4 of their first games. $10.00 [already lost and paid]
Rutgers would win at least 6 games this year $10.00 [looking poor]
Rutgers - Nebraska, he gave me 8 points $10.00 [bet looking thru scarlet colored glasses]

I won $10.00 on Norfolk State, lost $10.00 on Washington State, lost $30.00 on Penn State. So right now I'm down $40.00 on the year. Two years ago, I won 34 out of 38 bets on college football and MMA fights with Jim.

Wanting to make up my loses this year, we stepped it up for Kansas.
Rutgers vs Kansas - I gave him 10 points - $30.00
Rutgers vs Kansas - Even up $20.00

So, if Rutgers wins by 11, I'm up $10.00. It's not the money, just the action. Realistically, what are my chances? He wants to bet more.
