What should Ash get rid of?

You want they should just materialize from nowhere? Or are you advocating that they parachute in?
I guess you've never been to the stadium but there is a normal tunnel that every other team runs out through that is not used at this stadium. I

The constant announcements during the game and all the awards presented at the stadium. Obviously, these are controlled by the Athletic Dept and not the HC. So just wishful thinking.
Announcements = revenue. What problem is there with the awards?

Thank you. Also, Chris Carlin...his voice is awful and he's a bad rep of RU football. DJ Yoshi...this is not teen night at Hunka Bunka...it's Big Ten football. Let PSU be the clowns piping in the electronic meathead music. Also...the train horn, CHOP, F.A.M.I.L.Y, T.B.A., and most importantly please call Nike and get us respectable looking uniforms with only ONE helmet. Tired of the 4 different helmets crap. Thank you.
Anything you do like?

The announcements and awards are incessant and annoying. They should be very limited to those that are very important, not some professor of the week award. Otherwise the crowd tunes out everything.

I repeat: you make money off the majority of the announcements, so they stay. You can argue for or against the awards. They don't really bother me at all.

I love the professor of the week award elimination at half time, not to mention they're not to athletic friendly to begin with.

I've had season tickets for years and I've watched the team run out of the tunnel many times. Not really sure what the problem is with it and what "normal" tunnel you'd rather they run out of.

The revised "PC" version of the "On the Banks of the Old Raritan".

In an e-mail exchange with Julie H she actually told me she had no control over this!!!!!!
The AD had no control over what appears on the video boards???? Did not believe her.
Seems it was a fight she did not want be in, or she agreed with the ill informed complainers who think the old version was exclusionary.

We should get rid of the band unless it steps into the bigtime... double up on dance team instead...yes we should have the largest dance team in the nation
It's not the band, it's its Director that needs to go ASAP!!

I do like adding to the dance team, though....but not at the band's expense....

Anything you do like?

Yes, the chicken fingers;)

In all seriousness, I'm not usually a complainer (no seriously I'm not) but our game day experience for a college venue, now Big Ten, leaves a lot to be desired. I think the Scarlet Walk is awesome, I love the cannon, I like Ray Lucas doing color commentary, I seriously like the concourse/vendors and I love our tailgating lots closest to the stadium (Scarlet, Green, Blue and Yellow are all a great time). I guess Carlin is fine but I don't like Joe Nolan...the guy mumbles sometimes and I hate the "first down" thing. And I don't like the piped in music, despite many "traditional" venues also doing it. Just because they do it doesn't mean we HAVE to follow suit. The Metallica thing is stale now anyway.

The fact that you brought up Hunka Bunka shows how old and out of touch you are

It was a joke. I'm in my mid-30's and never really liked the club scene...even the better ones. I don't like too much piped in music at college football games. Doesn't make me old or out of touch.

Ash should not get rid of the band director. That should be part of Hobbs' job to enhance the game day experience in all areas that are not directly a part of the football team.

There is nothing inherently wrong with playing power (pro style) football. It has been a big part of the offense of the following teams in the top 10 of this year's playoff rankings: #2 Alabama, #3 Michigan State, #5 Iowa (I know they were driven by their defense more than the O), #6 Stanford (not sure how much McCaffery changed their play calling but it is still not a spread attack, or is it?), #8 Notre Dame (debatable), #9 FSU. We were a pro set in 2014 but looked a whole lot better with Friedgen calling the shots. Still, I am not upset about changing the offensive philosophy.

I don't mind FAMILY or CHOP either (this morning on Atlanta radio, they talked about how Clemson stresses family and it's not hurting them), but I don't need to see FAMILY on the back of uniforms again. That was going too far IMO. I would rather see no names on the jerseys than that.

I want Ash to get rid of undying loyalty to any of our starters, including the QB. If your performance over several games (not a quick trigger every other series) is not getting the job done, your job should be at risk. If your ego can't handle that, to borrow from Dan Hawkins again, it ain't intramurals, brother!

I think you just hit every old man "get off my lawn" complaint. Carlin, sure. Yoshi? Get over it. That's what kids listen to these days...The unis with multiple helmets? You do realize that lots of programs do this now, right?

The deafening, incessant "music." Can we watch the game for a few minutes without a constant assault on the senses?

LOL. Whether she agreed or not - yes I would believe that the AD cant unilaterally decide that the changes the SCHOOL decided to make to one of its official songs just werent cool with her and therefore she would go with whatever she wanted. In fact as insane as it is to get worked up about the changes at all, what you just said is even more insane.

Julie or any AD for that matter cant overturn Rutgers policy on the alma mater if the words were officially changed and the glee club sings it that way.

also how can anyone complain about the Metalica thing given that RU finally has its own tradition that the students and most of the stadium embraces with the air guitar. It is uniquely Rutgers for almost 10 years now

The Glee Bags don't control the ribbon bar.

F.A.M.I.L.Y.
The scarlet uniforms with the silver lettering that is impossible to read
The band (only half kidding - I prefer recorded music)

Don't care much about the rest or even these, compared to winning football. Give me winning football and they could play in orange prison jumpsuits with "Seasons in the Sun" continuously looping over the PA system.

They should get rid of the lack of hookers and blow. But otherwise, I agree with you. Other than the unreadable jersey numbers, as long as we win, I don't much care about any of it.

For those asking for my portion of the Pre-Game to be removed, all I can say is: when the program feels that my time with them is done, then I will look back on nearly a decade of work and be proud.
I attempted to, but understand that pleasing each and every fan is nearly impossible.

I've taken requests and suggestions and repeatedly receive primary blame for in-game music.
I've never once snapped back at people... even those that have called for my "kidnapping."

I'm in the business of sports entertainment and I attempt to understand and please all of those involved... from the players and coaches, to the recruits and fans.

At least be proud that Rutgers was the 1st collegiate program to start something that other programs and professional football teams are now following.

And for the person who commented with "This is the B1G Ten" I find it a bit amusing that the fans, players, coaches and staff of the B1G as well as Indiana Sports Corp who has hosted the 2014 and 2015 B1G Ten FCS received me well with a positive response instead of the negative.

I've been a DJ for 20 years in April and in a sports entertainment capacity since 2002.
I wanted to do something special with and for my alma mater and I feel that we've accomplished that.

To those that have appreciated what we do, thank you.
For those that don't, then I'm sorry that I was unable to engage you and provide you with a positive memory and experience.

Should the program still require my services, then I'll look forward to being a part of production for 2016...
Should they look elsewhere, then I'll be in the stands as a fan.

That's all I can say about it. Again, if you have complaints or suggestions, I'm all about transparency.

Playing not to lose.

Throwing the ball back to the ref after you score. Spike it, spin, it, blow kisses to your family, whatever. Anything but throw the ball back to the ref like nothing happened.

And yes, people that have been there before do it too.

Yoshi, my friend, you don't have to apologize to anyone here for the GREAT job you do, have done over the years, and hopefully will continue to do for a long time to come! You do EXACTLY what is asked of you, by the people who pay you, and THAT is ALL that matters. I also find the fact that some posters here STILL don't realize that you are there for 1) the team 2) the students 3) the rest of the fans, during the pre-game, to be amazing but not altogether shocking.

To each his own. Personally I like it when a player scores and just flips the ball to the ref. As you know there are penalties for excessive celebrations. It's fine to then celebrate with your teammates on the sidelines. Otherwise you're just drawing attention to yourself and ignoring the offensive guard e.g., who paved the way with a crushing block.

the greatest running back, Jim Brown, showed the most class by just getting up and walking back to his team mates. A different time agreed, but still a lot of class.
