Excluding redshirts, incoming freshman, current seniors, and assuming no weight changes, here is where Flo currently ranks our guys for next year.

125 Peterson 7th
133 No One
141 Olivieri 21st
149 White 14th
157 Clark 15th
165 No One
174 Turley 19th
184 Soldano 8th
197 No One
UNL Boone 11th (his return not Certain)

What weight do we target and who?

125 Peterson 7th Probably accurate
133 No One
141 Olivieri 21st Disappointing. Hoping for better in his third year
149 White 14th Who knows!
157 Clark 15th Hoping at least but yet to be seen
165 No One
174 Turley 19th Could be higher; up to him and his preparedness when the season begins
184 Soldano 8th About right
197 No One
UNL Boone 11th (his return not Certain) Surely, someone knows

Not that these numbers mean much but on paper if these numbers hold the team will be remarkably better.

That said I think White and Clark are a little high, though I think Olivieri is low. We need to nail a transfer at 165. Griffith will always be the rumor and Mekhi Lewis would be a pipe dream if he wants a change of scenery given he’s been at VT for 6 years already.

Realistically we’ll probably bring some NQ no one is really thinking of, similar to Bulsak

You target any wrestler in the portal to make your team better.

Mekhi Lewis would be a pipe dream if he wants a change of scenery given he’s been at VT for 6 years already.
Heard from a good source(his kid wrestled with Mekhi and father's are good friends) Mekhi wanted no part of the grind of the B1G. Was part of his decision to go to VT as injuries have been a problem for him.

This but we gotta get the right guys too(to fit program/$$ makes sense/timeline is good).. didn’t we blow a lot of money on Aragona/Glasgow/Alvarez.. which is possibly y we mighta missed out on other guys?

You have this backwards. We took a chance and spent $ on those 3 because we missed out on higher targets.

Well, that could be true, but I heard we weren’t able to recruit who we wanted after getting those guys bc we had lotta $ tied up on them 🤷‍♂️ maybe both true ?

Mekhi didn't want to go to school in NJ, I didn't know about him not wanting no part of the grind of the BIG. It could be true but it doesn't sound like him.

After watching flo’s documentary following VT.. Mekhi seems like a very laxxed and chill guy.. the b10 grinder is not for everyone..

It might be more beneficial to lay low.. get less matches/scouts in(seems like more dodges r happening anyways) avoid injuries and possibly get over seeded at nationals from being weaker conference/competition.

I posted last season about the Transfer Portal....a very high % of the kids transferring do so because they cannot start at their current school(of course not all). Here is the portal kids that entered since March 9th. Seth Nevills Hwt just announced he is going into portal. 165 Mitchell Mesenbrick is a hammer and will have offers from a ton of places.

He tried to return but had bad grades a North Carolina and didnt Have the credits needed to be eligible at a new school, they had to be pretty poor bc he couldn’t even get into Arizona state

How the hell does one get bad grades at UNC? They were handing out no-show, passing grades from Pez dispensers for their athletes. If he failed there, that's a problem.

just rumor but heard his last semester at nc he just stopped going to class

If he wished to stay there would have been a solution and he would have been eligible. Because he was leaving his transcript is incomplete because of attendance issues.

Somewhat sarcastic response.

Nevils from psu is in the portal. It'll be interesting to see where he lands. He was a blue chip out of highschool.

Bernie Truax is now in the portal. All American at 174 184 and 197. That would be a nice addition for our squad.
