Who else is not convinced HCKF will be fired?

-----
Let me make my position a bit clearer for you..... If we could make a big time hire, I would be thrilled with a new coach.....

However, if Flood wins the last two I think the university keeps Flood on.... This does not reflect complacency on my part, but a PREDICTION of what the school will do

Understand the difference...

I could turn around and ask you, do you THINK he will be fired if we win the last two?.... Don't be too sure either way
I am not a Floodie, I am logically thinking what the university will do to maximize their money and maximize the chances for success. I want a competitive team that will beat Penn State and challenge Ohio State.

I think the inevitable firing is a figment of our imagination. Would not be at all surprised if he is here next year. Sure hope not, but not buying this is a done deal.

No, I understand the sentiment. All I'm saying is not to accept any decision from the administration. That's all. Write letters, emails, withhold tickets/money, make phone calls, etc. That is what the admin. will eventually have to act on. Empty stadiums tend to say quite a bit.

But, to answer the question...I believe that the Administration will do the right thing and fire Flood. Mostly, because I can't believe that the brain thrust of this University could be so stupid as to NOT Fire Flood!

They had the funds for a DC, but Smith didn't want to come coach here. The most likely scenario (IMO) is that a very well qualified OC doesn't want to come coach under a guy who is less qualified than he is. Fridge was a very special case and there simply aren't high level OCs who want to come to coach for a team with questionable talent under a HC with a questionable resume. They have better options, and safer options for their career.
I would think that a good OC would have a price to coach an average team. To save their reputation they can always saw I did the best with an undermanned team. As for our defense, the players were in position most of the times but could not bring their guy down against the tough teams. I am not counting the mistakes the new players made, those mistakes weren't actually from bad coaching.

If Rutgers had unlimited money Flood would be gone and we would hire a super star coach who would bring in his team.

I don't think our fan base can change any decision..... Maybe at other schools that works, but not here..

Your saying that we should not accept a decision to keep the coach... That is not going to affect the final outcome..... If the money is not there, for instance, the chances go down.... A couple of wins, it goes down further

That said, we probably lose one of the final two, making the decision easier for Julie..... Your best bet is to hope for two more losses, but I can't do that.

Also Rutgers needs to cheat a little bit. Well, cheat is to strong a word but we need to get 27 year old men on the team like other schools do and bribe the 5 star kids like the other schools do. I have no proof that other schools do this but I think it is done. Maybe some guys on this board who were highly ranked can tell us if they were bribed. Zappaa were you bribed? (we won't tell anyone)

I wonder if we might get a woman for a head coach? There may be good women coaches that the other schools would never even consider.

Do you know how hard is to pass someone on the basepath! I mean where was he looking, did he at least wave as he passed him. Had to be a bribe....:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Some have hit on a major reason why I tried to support him for so long.

Every other P5 school = Gone

Rutgers = who the hell knows?

All the Floodies in one spot.
Oh I can't wait to bump this post after the Maryland game...
Say, don't you have a lynch-mob to organize somewhere?

Have you been living under a rock the past few years? Given RU's history of miscues in the athletic department, do you really think any of us will feel embarrassed about predicting yet another RU athletics miscue? I think not.

And our way of thinking is win-win. If RU fires Flood and hires a great new coaching staff, we win. If RU retains Flood, we'll be stuck with him, but we'll at least have the consolation of having been correct about this. Not to mention we'll be able to enjoy watching your head explode.

Now run off and play with your little Hitler-youth friends. See how many non-haters you can report to the party.

Sorry Wheezer, but you are not being exactly truthful, now are you? As a fan base that is fed up with Floods deficiencies, there should not be an option! Predicting he comes back, because of WHATEVER reason, is a sign of complacency. And, really a losers mentality. Once you accept, you become part of the problem. If you really, I mean really care about this program, the athletes and the reputation of Rutgers University, then the fight should never end with any result, other than the removal of Flood from anything associated with Rutgers University!
Afterall Wheezer, with that handle, you should remember when people actually protested, and fought for things they believed in. Or has time passed you by......
You want the truth? The truth is that you should stop posting about this. What you posted above does not reflect well on you at all. You've pretty much defined clueless, at least insofar as this thread is concerned.

A Hitler comment? Really? No wonder why everyone hates you.

One last time...11/28/15

Ha. Don't count your pound of LoBro before it hatches. Remember our bet was about him being fired for performance, not off-field issues. If I'm reading you correctly between the lines, you believe, based on some information, that he'll be terminated for reasons other than just non-performance.

Although I'm not sure who wins if he's fired for cause unrelated to non-performance. Well, I mean we'd all win, if the new coaching staff is a good one. But I think the bet would be a draw.

Would you prefer McCarthy references instead? Just look at your response. You make my case for me. You are completely consumed by hatred.

It's a free country (much to your dismay). So hate on, my brother. Hate on.

You're just an idiot. You compare hating a college football coach to people being Nazi's.
Of course, I know you like to be that idiot and you try and rile people up. That's fine. But if you honestly believe that...you need some help. Seriously.

I think both of you'd be better off refraining from the name calling. The way things are going being called a "Floodie" is approaching "Hitler Youth" status.

Carry on A-Holes lol.

You're starting to see the light. Come on over before it's too late!!!!!

The haters are behaving exactly like the Hitler Youth did. Or Joe McCarthy. Or a lynch mob. Some of our forum members are exemplifying the worst examples of human nature and, apparently, don't even realize it.

And this is coming from someone that never wanted Flood as the coach from the start. I'll be happy to see Flood go. But I'll be damned if I'm going to let a bunch of McCarthyists bully the forum without speaking out against it.

If he beats Army and Maryland he's not going any where any time soon. If he finishes 7-5 next year which I believe he will count on him staying period. If he loses either the Army or Maryland game he's gone. I believe that Barchi is pressuring Herman to see if Donors are willing to pony up the cash for a new coach and so far the answer is no.
If he wins 9 of Rutgers next 14 games, he deserves to be making $3 million.

Far be it from me to be the voice of reason, as the big guy knows I've crossed the line more times than I can count, but you might want to revisit that last bit.

At the end of the day, everyone wants RU to succeed. Just differing opinions on how to get there or what's possible.

You're seriously comparing people who want the football coach of their alma mater fired to Nazis? Yikes.

Oops, sorry. I though you'd be intelligent enough to recognize a metaphor. You're right; it was idiotic of me to think that of you.

I'm not comparing you to the Nazi Youth because you hate Flood. I could care less if you hate Flood. You can hate anybody and everyone you want and it will never get a rise out of me. I think you should be free to have whatever opinions you want and I'd even argue against those who would say otherwise.

No, I'm comparing you to the Nazi Youth because you are viciously intolerant of other people's opinions on this forum. I'm comparing you to the Nazi Youth because, in your hatred, you've come up with a disparaging designation for those forum members with whom you disagree (e.g. "Floodies"). I'm comparing you to the Nazi Youth because you're failing to distinguish between those who don't want Flood fired and those who simply don't want to join your party of haters.

Basically, I'm comparing you to the Nazi Youth because you're a bully. And bullies need to be smacked in the face to stop. Metaphorically speaking.

Nope. I want the head coach fired too. I'm comparing a bully to the Nazi Youth. Big difference.

You're starting to see the light. Come on over before it's too late!!!!!

I have had opinions all along.

I guess it's a failing that I can't separate loyalty. I felt as long as he was HC of the team I care about I was going to defend him AND the players. I have also long believed that not everything that happened was something he could control. Unlike many, I don't get wrapped up in personnel decisions because if I knew better I should be on the sidelines and you don't want that. Last time I strapped it on we were running the single wing with a little Split T mixed in near the end.

For clarity purposes, I've only made my decision to speak because I see RU losing a large portion of it's always fragile fan base if he continues. Remember I was there when RU was drawing 15-16,000 for Lehigh and Lafayette. That to me would be as big a disaster as any loss and likely more when you consider all the financial issues we all know. You have to give people hope if you want them to pony up and that's in short supply now.

Finally, being a fan and rooting for RU is fun for me, not life or death. If I ever find myself getting as upset as some here do, I'll just walk away.

I explained my position in a subsequent post. He's opened the door to demonizing other forum members. He and I actually share the opinion that Flood needs to go. But I'm not demonizing those on this board who feel otherwise. He is. And he's doing so with broad strokes. Metaphorically much just like the Nazi Youth did to anybody that opposed the Nazi party prior to WWII.

keep your knickers on.

Irregardless, I could care less (before numbers crafts a 2,000 word treatise on usage, it's a JOKE)

It's my time to enjoy this now!!!

LOL. He's given me crap for using that word at least a couple times.

As to my knickers, they're the pink frilly ones w/the little hearts. The point being that I'm not taking them off for at least a few days.

I think he'll be the coach for many years. Does a great job recruiting, developing players, putting together game plans and winning the big games. If it's me, I'm tearing up the old contract and giving him a new one.
So Urban, you're got a new 10 year deal. What? Who? Kyle Flood. Sorry, I'd like him gone now. Does he need help cleaning out his desk?

Look, I understand. I was unhappy back when he got promoted to co-offensive coordinator or whatever the hell that wacky title was that Schiano came up with. So you can imagine how little I liked seeing him named head coach.

I have no problem with making people eat crow. But the crow is consumed, digested, excreted, and fertilizing the ground where the next coaching staff will soon blossom (we hope). So maybe it's time to let it go?

I'm all about metaphors today.

I'm not saying what he should or should not be making as our head coach. Last I heard he was earning around 1.5 million. I heard his OC/DC combined earn around $800K, if true this is a shoe string budget. But I stand by what I said If he defeats both Army and Maryland the AD and Administration will have a very difficult time justifying Floods firing. Next year the team will be more mature and I do see him finishing 7-5. If he loses either game he's gone.

And much of that was uncalled for under any circumstance. I've heard you mention the wife attack but never saw the post(s) that caused it. That's horrible. Facebook isn't something I deal with so I'm at least innocent there.

I think in retrospect even you understand why some of your statements led to verbal abuse from me and others. It was something most of us could never wrap our heads around. I like to think it's in the past at least from my side but only you can make the final decision.
