South Jersey? Asbury Park is firmly in Central NJ, exit 102 off of the Garden State Parkway. Pork Roll central.
He is way off. Monmouth County is not South Jersey, and it is firmly part of the State of Rutgers.
Monmouth county is definitely not south jersey. If he said that I missed it .to me south jersey is Burlington county , Atlantic county etc.
He was. Nixing everything about us, downplaying our traditions, acting as if we had no history, and then saying "I could apologize but I won't" that's just comical in hindsight, but was always a dick move. Never liked that, nor did I like his overall vibe or personality. Need someone who gets who we are and who the people in this area of the country are.
The earlier link I commented on was with the Courier Post Online which is in Cherry Hill. They are both Gannett papers so APP is likely a sister paper.
Carino has been an Asbury Park Press guy for his career (I think). He mainly covers basketball and likes to take snarky digs at the football program such as how many Michigan fans showed up at HPSS. Seems that the Gannett papers, now part of USA Today, publish articles from each writer through all of their websites.
The best writer they had was JP Pelzmann, but he was dismissed after he had taken a sick leave. He still writes for Forbes.
