Blows my mind how a fan of your program can be this cocky and say anything about another schools program. We are the reigning Big East Champions, you only wish you could have been in my shoes.
I respect your blind loyalty I really do. But if you were really in your prime when RU was in the Final Four then Rutgers has not been good since the Watergate convictions.

cmon Jcalz.....if I asked anyone with a reasonable memory, 90% of America clearly saw that Josh Hart was hacked with no call that allowed the hard-fought win at MSG, which was great and warrants some credit....but winning the Big East title last year, isn't the Big East of yesterday with Louisville, WVA, Cuse, UConn, Pitt and others that owned that tourney for a long time.....the conference is watered down by comparison.....still a good conference, but nowhere near the top of the food chain, by any stretch of imagination.
SHU is good, but nowhere near that team of last year, otherwise, SHU would not have lost to Stanford or Florida already or barely squeaked by Cal and South Carolina, who was missing their best player last week

SHU beat the National champs in the Big East Tournament. There's no logical way you can degrade that accomplishment by saying that the Big East is a "watered down" conference. For every foul call that you say should've been called against Seton Hall, I can show you one that should been called against Villanova in that game. Stupid argument.

If not winning an ncaa tourney game since 2004 makes you "much" better than a team who hasnt made the tourney since the early 90's sure. But theres no doubt that future is a tonnnnnn bright at RU than in South Orange

Actually a 6'9 4-star is what I should have said. Rutgers hasn't had many like Big Mama in my almost 27 years of me following the program. Seton Hall has had a bunch so maybe it's not a big deal for you? So it could be premature but I'll take the risk in calling him a star from what I've watched on video. If I'm wrong; so what?

Listen, I'm just a fan; did some broadcasting so I have some knowledge but that's about it for a 5-9 jewish dude. Buuuut... after watching the videos of Big Mama; there is nobody that we've had who I can compare him to since I've been watching which is 1989. In fact; tell me one big man who was as good at Gettys since that time? Mama is a junior in college; correct? He can handle the ball, rebounds everything, has a baby jumper with sweet touch and could be one of the best to play for RU. If we were to land someone like Naz with a few more elite players; the RAC is going to be one tough ticket to get. How many times have I said that SHU has been better by miles and miles? We know that and we really hit rock bottom under Eddie. But we have one helluva coach and that's obvious to see. Regardless of what happens on Friday, I will not lose an ounce of enthusiasm for what is to come. And this idiot needs to focus on his team.

Next summer when it comes time to recruiting which will be huge not just for SHU, but for RU also. It will look very good when SHU will be a consensus preseason top 15-20 team. Rutgers has the opportunity to surpass Seton Hall as NJs best basketball school. The ceiling is way higher. That being said Seton Hall had been a better program for some time now. The gap is closing and it could be argued that our coaching staff is already better.

My point? They were clearly doing some shady shit to get kids to go to that dump. The place offers N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Its a backup school to kids who cant get into monmouth.

Lots unknown here. How much did SHU know about? Which coaches were involved? How above board was the assistant coaching deal with Morton, and how much (if anything) was he also paid by ASM? Are there other players that might come out as the FBI probe continues beyond ASM?
But aside from all that, the Whitehead class got them where they are right now. Even if nothing is going on with current players, it's like saying an athlete didn't take steroids for the Olympics... just for the qualifiers, so what's the point?
This isn't a good look for SHU. Curious how much (if anything) Fred Hill Jr was aware of/party to, and whether anything bleeds back on us down the line.

Actually the AAU coach was well known to be connected to the agent with other Lincoln products like Telfair....
The AAU coach then gets hired by the school and suddenly Whitehead decides to sign with SHU....
The same AAU or then SHU coach is paid/loaned almost 10K....
The same AAU coach leaves SHU less than 1 year after being hired to go back to his HS teaching gig and Pension in NYC....
But there is no speculation....just facts....

Do you really think that Willard hired Morton without any expectation that he would be bringing some players along? They may have sequenced it to pass the eye test but I think many were suspicious of the sudden uptick in recruiting and that they all came from NYC. Now Willard may have said I don't want to know anything about how or under what conditions they came but given that no one seems to deny that this happens all the time, he must have assumed a deal was made but retained plausible deniability.
Well, there's already a tie to the staff - Morton was on staff when it happened, and he himself was getting money. The question is if *anyone else* on the staff knew. Given the shadiness of the Whitehead/Morton package deal, and the fairly open word in the industry that Morton was shady-as-hell prior to that, there's a lot of contortions to make the rest of the staff seem completely ignorant of what was happening.
But yes, so far there is no definitive link that has been made available to the public showing that Kevin Willard was involved or had direct knowledge.
