Wichita State Shockers to the AAC?

it would be a great move for both the AAC and Wichita State...always thought that the A10 should have scooped up Wichita State or even the Big East should have taken Wichita State and VCU.

AAC isnt a good league. SMU, Cincy and then 3 programs on the downward slide UConn, Temple and Memphis...adding Wichita really helps

Pete says the Shockers are a "national brand"? Really? They play some nice basketball. But other than a week or two in March who is talking about, more importantly watching, Wichita State?

The American should NOT, under any circumstances, take a school that does not play FBS football. Huge step backward.

Unfortunately for them, I don't see any steps forward, either. The league is too far-flung for one without big fan bases. It's one thing for a league such as the SEC or Big Ten to sprawl, but for a league not really one that gets eyeballs without somebody having a special season (say, Houston football), sprawling to include the third team in Kansas just makes no sense.

The Valley is the logical home for Wichita State. It's down of late, but it's where it belongs.

UConn had a bad season and they're on the downside ?

Ditto Temple----they've been a consistent tournament team.

Get a grip.

those days are over since Creighton left, I realize you are a tradtionalist but without Creighton this league is shit. Wichita needs to bolt to either the A10 or AAC

AAC has no choice but to anything to get better. They received just two NCAA bids this year, they are a league filled with bad programs, pretty soon their TV deal will get even less. Wichita adds cache to the league

I read something about a month or so ago about Wichita State considering reinstating its football program, which used to compete in the Missouri Valley years back before being disbanded. Perhaps that is due to their desire to be in the AAC?
