Will Trackwrestling have the ESO?

Yeah, I see that, I was wondering why he didn't enter the tourny, he was listed this morning.
I'm also wondering how 'set in stone' that the highest placers win the starting roles for the West Coast trip next weekend.
Sorry. I don't know about Lipari

I wonder the same thing about the set in stone.

Gross looks like he has the HVY spot
All three 197 are in the semis

125 looks like Paetzell's spot
133 Delvecchio v Dippery? I favor Delvechhio
141 & 157 - nothing to see here
149 - Theobold
165 - who knows? Scott over Grello? Donner? Painton? Coach decision
174 - Bak
184 - Gravina
197 - must be fun to watch in the room. I think coach's decision here.

Summary so far :

125- Brandon Paetzel is the lone RU wrestler today, he has advanced to the Semi's with a Majority Dec over an Army wrestler. McCabe wound up at 133 and Peter Lipari not entered (not sure why, he was listed this morning). Is Paetzel the starter now for next weekends West Coast trip ????

133- Scott Delvecchio and Tyson Dippery advance to the Semis (different sides of the brackets). Sean McCabe won his pre- Qtr and then DQ'd for the Qtr

(not sure why)

141- Ashnault wrestled last night at the All Star Classic, he's our starter obviously. Mike Van Brill advances to the semi finals , N Ottavinia loses in qtrs.

149- Ken Theobold advances to semi final. Giraldo loses in qtr,

157- Lewis the starter obviously, J Van Brill advances to Semis.

165- Scott advances to semis, Grello, Donner, Pafumi and Painton all lose in pre qtrs- they go to the consolations, whoever finishes higher is the starter.

174- Bakuckas and Pagano adance to semis

184- Gravina advances to semis

197- Messner , Mulligan and Correnti advance to semis. Mulligan and Correnti will face off !! Mess and Mulligan had pins in the qtrs.

285-Gross advances to semi finals, McDonald loses in qters, Normandia loses in pre qtrs. Looks like we have a new Heavy.

Would think McCabe still has the 125 spot locked up until the coaches say otherwise.

At 165, Scott is alive in semis.

Thanks , I edited him back in. I completely forgot about him. Could he now be our starter ?
I think he has had a nice draw and has taken advantage of it, although he did beat Spira who beat Pafumi.I think the starter will still come from Grello/Donner/Pafumi, but maybe Scott will continue to surprise.

I called in to when Coach G was on the show with Carlin on R Vision, and asked him the question about what happens if a young, inexperienced kid surprises and finishes above an upper classman who is experienced or has redshirted, does the younger guy go to Cali the first weekend , and he danced around the answer, LOL.

MVB vs Luke Karam of Lehigh. Tough one for him. Have to think practicing with Ashnault a big help for this match.

Mike Van Brill to finals!! Too bad Ashnault not here so MVB could wrestle him for starting spot, lol.

Ottaviano loses in consis.

I think the only guy Karam has lost to in the past 2 years is Nick Suriano. Van Brill obviously will RS behind Ashnault, but the 2 Van Brill brothers seem to be terrific additions for RU.
Agreed. And practicing against Ashnault and Lewis must be awesome.

DeLuca looks like a nice addition for next year as well. With Glasgow coming in, middle weights will be tough next couple of years.

One thing I think we can all agree on...this team is mean, strong and DEEP. A mind boggling number of RU wrestlers are still alive, many wrestling against teammates in championship matches, and we might have as many as 3 freshman starters at 125, 165 and 197. Mulligan with 4 mins of RT on Correnti and Paetzall destroying everyone in his path at 125 has me smiling big and wide.
